Seville Cathedral

Also known as the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede de Sevilla, this Gothic-style wonder is the third largest Christian temple in the world behind St. Peter’s in Rome and St. Paul’s in London.

Real Alcázar

The Real Alcázar is the beautiful complex of palace buildings that is located in the old town of Seville surrounded by walls.

Triana district

Located on the banks of the Guadalquivir river, the Triana district communicates with the city centre thanks to the Isabel II Bridge (known as the Triana Bridge), a modern steel construction that was declared a National Historical Monument in 1976.

Santa Cruz district

Santa Cruz is one of the most popular districts in Seville, receiving its name from the homonymous old parish, a Mudejar-style church that was demolished during the French occupation of the city, on top of which Plaza de Santa Cruz was built. The district is made up by narrow and winding streets, like the old Jewish quarters, home to many stately homes, family palaces and stunning patios with flowers.

Macarena Basilica

Construction for this neo-Baroque and Colourist basilica began in 1941 and took 8 years, becoming the home of the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre de Jesús de la Sentencia and of María Santísima de la Esperanza Macarena. The Basilica Museum was inaugurated in 2009, a place where visitors can find out about the Holy Week in Seville thanks to the processional and liturgical elements gathered by the brotherhood.

General Archive of the Indies

Designed by Juan de Herrera and located next to the Real Alcázar and the Cathedral, the General Archive of the Indies was created in 1875 to house all the documents related to Spanish colonies. Inside, you can find maps, drawings and texts related to the old colonies. Just like the Cathedral and the Real Alcázar, it is a World Heritage Site.
