Frequently asked questions

Any doubts or questions?

What time is check-in and check-out?

To help you get settled in comfort, the official check-in time is from 2:00 PM. The check-out time is at 12:00 PM (noon).

If you plan to arrive before 2:00 PM, don't worry: you can register and we will store your luggage in our free luggage room so you can start enjoying Seville from the very first minute.

            Do you offer late check-out?

Yes! We understand that sometimes you need a little more time to enjoy your room or the city. We offer a late check-out service subject to availability.

For some of our superior room categories, such as the Junior Suite, this service is included free of charge until 2:00 PM. For other rooms, you can request it at reception, and we will inform you of the availability and the corresponding supplement. We recommend checking on the morning of your departure for better management.

Can I cancel my reservation for free?

Flexibility is very important. We have different types of rates to suit your needs. Many of our rates, especially if you book directly with us, are flexible rates that allow free cancellation up to a certain deadline (e.g., 24 or 48 hours before your arrival).

However, we also offer non-refundable rates with greater discounts. We kindly ask you to carefully review the specific cancellation conditions detailed in your booking confirmation email. If you have any questions, our reservations team will be happy to help.

Is it cheaper to book directly on the hotel's website?

Yes, absolutely! We guarantee the best price always on our official website. By having no intermediaries, we can offer you more advantageous rates and exclusive promotions (like romantic packages, long-stay offers, etc.) that are not available on other agencies or search engines. Furthermore, by joining our Club Bécquer, you will get additional discounts. Booking with us is the smartest choice!

What do I need to check in?

The process is very simple. To register your check-in, we will need a valid identification document (ID card or Passport) from all guests over 16 years of age, as required by law.

Additionally, we will request a credit card as a guarantee for the stay and any extra consumption you may have (like the minibar or parking). If your reservation is prepaid, we recommend bringing the same card you used for payment in case it needs to be verified.

Can I store my luggage if I arrive before check-in time or leave after check-out?

Of course, you can! We want you to make the most of your stay without having to carry your bags. We have a completely free luggage storage service available at reception.

Whether you arrive before 2:00 PM or if your flight or train leaves late on your departure day, you can leave your luggage with us safely and explore the city in total comfort from the first minute to the last.

Where exactly is the hotel located?

We are in a privileged location, at Calle Reyes Católicos, 4, in the very heart of Seville. It is the perfect junction between the historic center and the authentic Triana neighborhood.

You will be just a short, pleasant walk from everything: only 5-10 minutes on foot from the Cathedral and the Giralda, the Santa Cruz neighborhood, and less than 5 minutes from the Maestranza Bullring and the Guadalquivir River. By crossing the iconic Triana Bridge, which is right next door, you will immerse yourself in the city's most emblematic neighborhood.

You can see our exact location and plan your routes here on Google Maps.

Does the hotel have parking? How much does it cost?

Yes, for your maximum convenience, we have a private car park in the same hotel building. Arriving in the center of Seville and not having to worry about the car is a real luxury.

Since we are right in the center, spaces are limited, so we strongly recommend booking it in advance along with your room to guarantee your space. You can do this by calling us or sending an email. The cost is a fixed rate per night; please check with our reception team for the exact price for your stay dates.

How does the parking service work?

Our car park operates with a convenient valet service. Upon your arrival, simply stop at the hotel entrance, and our reception staff will give you instructions. One of our colleagues will take care of parking your vehicle for you.

To manage the parking and be able to move the cars efficiently and safely, it is necessary to leave your keys at reception. It is a totally secure service, highly valued by our clients, which allows us to optimize the spaces and saves you the trouble of maneuvering in a city-center garage.

How can I get from Seville Airport (SVQ)?

You have two main and very convenient options:

  • Taxi: This is the fastest option (about 20-25 minutes). There is an official fixed rate from the airport to the center of Seville (which includes our hotel). The price is around €25-€30, varying slightly for night or holiday fares.
  • Bus (Line EA - Airport Special): This is the most economical option. The bus departs frequently from the arrivals terminal. You should get off at the "Paseo Colón" stop (next to the Torre del Oro). From there, the hotel is a pleasant walk of less than 10 minutes. You can check its schedules on the official AENA website.

You can see the public transport route on this Google Maps link.

And from the Santa Justa train station?

Getting from Santa Justa is very easy:

  • Taxi: This is the fastest and most direct way. You will find an official taxi rank at the station exit. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes, and the approximate cost is €8-€12.
  • City Bus: You can take line 32 (towards Plaza del Duque) and get off at Plaza de la Magdalena, a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The circular lines C3 or C4 will also drop you nearby. You can plan your route on the TUSSAM website (Seville buses).

See the route options on Google Maps by clicking here.

Is the hotel in an area with easy walking access to the main monuments?

Absolutely! Our location is, without a doubt, one of our greatest strengths. You can discover Seville on pleasant walks without needing transport.

To give you an idea (approximate walking times):

Do the rooms have Wi-Fi? Is it free?

Yes, of course. We offer completely free high-speed Wi-Fi for all our guests. The connection is available in both the rooms and all common areas of the hotel (lobby, terrace, pool...), so you can telework, watch series, or share your photos of Seville without any problems.

What type of beds do you have? Can I request a double bed?

To adapt to every traveler's needs, we have rooms with double beds (Queen or King size) and rooms with two twin beds.

You can indicate your preference when making the reservation (in the comments or requests section). Although we cannot guarantee it 100%, as it depends on availability on your arrival day, we will note your request and do absolutely everything possible to assign you the bed type you desire.

            Are the rooms soundproofed?

Your rest is our priority. Our rooms are designed to ensure comfort and feature double-glazed windows and a good level of sound insulation to minimize noise from such a central and vibrant location.

However, if you are particularly sensitive to noise or prefer maximum tranquility, we recommend requesting an interior room (overlooking our courtyard) when making your reservation. We will do our best to assign it to you.

Are there coffee and tea makers in the rooms?

Yes, so you can enjoy an early morning coffee or tea, most of our superior category rooms (like the Premium, Deluxe, and Junior Suite) feature a capsule coffee maker and a kettle with a selection of teas. This service also includes welcome mineral water.

Do the rooms have a safe?

Yes, of course. For your complete peace of mind, all our rooms are equipped with a free digital safe. You can securely store your passport, laptop, and other valuables.

Do you have a pillow menu?

Yes. We know that a good rest largely depends on a good pillow. Therefore, in addition to the standard pillows in your room, we have a complete pillow menu with different firmness levels and materials (memory foam, cervical, softer fiber...).

You can request it from our reception team at any time.

Are there rooms adapted for people with reduced mobility?

Yes, we are committed to accessibility. We have specifically designed and adapted rooms to ensure the comfort and autonomy of people with reduced mobility. These rooms have wider spaces and bathrooms equipped with roll-in showers and support bars.

We recommend that you contact the hotel directly by phone or email to manage your booking and ensure this room is available for your dates.

Do you have family rooms or rooms for three people?

Yes, we have triple rooms, ideal for families or groups of three adults. They generally consist of a double room (with a double bed or two twin beds) to which a comfortable extra bed or sofa bed is added.

We also have some connecting rooms, perfect for larger families who wish to be together while maintaining some independence. We recommend contacting us directly to book the best option for your family.

Do you have a pool? What are its opening hours?

Yes, and it's one of the hotel's gems! 💎 We have a spectacular pool on our rooftop terrace, the perfect place to cool off on hot days while enjoying unbeatable panoramic views of the Giralda and the rooftops of Seville.

The pool is open during the summer season, which usually runs from late May or early June until late September or early October, always depending on the weather. The specific opening hours and rules of use can be consulted directly at reception upon your arrival.

Is the rooftop terrace open all year round?

Yes, our magnificent rooftop terrace, with its incomparable views of the Giralda, is accessible to our guests all year round (weather permitting).

Although the pool and bar service are only operational in the summer season, the sun deck and seating area are available for you to go up and relax, read a book, or simply admire the famous sunset over the rooftops of Seville at any time of the year. It's a magical experience!

What is the breakfast like? What are the hours?

Our breakfast is the best way to start the day! We offer a complete and varied breakfast buffet, where quality and local products are paramount.

You will find a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, various breads, a hot food station (scrambled eggs, bacon, etc.), Iberian cold cuts and cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit, yogurts, cereals, and, of course, typical Andalusian products. We also have options for special diets (gluten-free, etc.) upon request.

The usual breakfast time is from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM, so you can enjoy it at your leisure.

Is breakfast included in the price?

To offer you maximum flexibility, we have both options. When making your reservation, you can choose between the "Room Only" rate or the "Bed and Breakfast" rate.

We recommend booking the rate with breakfast included, as it is usually more advantageous than paying for it directly at the hotel. If you have booked "Room Only," you can always decide to add breakfast upon your arrival at reception.

          Do you have room service?

Yes, we have room service for those times when you prefer to dine or have a drink in the comfort and privacy of your room.

You will find a menu in your room with the selection of available dishes (sandwiches, salads, main courses, drinks...) and the hours during which the service is operational. Just pick up the phone and place your order.

          Do you allow pets?

Yes, we are a pet-friendly hotel! 🐾 We know your pet is part of your family, and we love to welcome them. We accept pets (usually small or medium-sized dogs and cats) upon request.

This service has a small supplement per night and is subject to certain co-living rules to ensure the comfort of all guests. We appreciate you letting us know you are traveling with your pet when booking so we can inform you of our policy and have everything ready for your arrival.

Do you offer laundry or dry cleaning services?

Yes, we offer a reliable external laundry and dry cleaning service. It's perfect if you need to wash a shirt for a meeting or refresh your clothes during a long stay.

You will find a bag for this purpose in your room's wardrobe, along with the price list and conditions. Typically, clothes handed in in the morning are ready that same afternoon or the next day.

Is there a gym in the hotel?

We do not currently have a gym facility within the hotel. However, our privileged location next to the Guadalquivir River (a 5-minute walk) offers you the best outdoor gym in the city. Its banks are perfect for running, walking, or using the public calisthenics areas.

I've seen you have a "Coffee Corner," what is it?

It's one of our favorite welcome details. It's a corner in our lobby where we offer coffee, tea, soft drinks, and water completely free of charge for our guests.

It is available for much of the day and is the ideal place to take a break, relax after a day of sightseeing, wait for your companions, or simply enjoy a coffee while reading the newspaper.

Can you help me buy tickets for flamenco shows or monuments?

Of course! Our Reception and Concierge team are experts on the city and will be delighted to be your personal guide. We can advise you on the best flamenco tablaos (both in the center and in Triana) and manage the booking for you.

As for monuments like the Alcázar or the Cathedral, the main recommendation is always to buy the ticket online as far in advance as possible on the official websites (Alcázar website / Cathedral website), as they sell out. We can guide you on how to do it or inform you about guided tours that include skip-the-line access.

          Is this a non-smoking hotel?

Yes. In compliance with current regulations and, above all, to ensure a healthy environment and the comfort of all our guests, smoking is prohibited in the rooms and in all indoor common areas of the hotel.

Guests who wish to smoke may do so in designated outdoor areas, such as certain areas of our rooftop terrace.

Do you have an iron and ironing board available?

Yes, we know how important it is to have a shirt ready for dinner or a meeting. They are not kept in the room for space reasons, but we do have irons and ironing boards available. Just request one at reception, and our housekeeping staff will bring it up to your room at no cost.

I'm traveling for work, do you have meeting rooms?

Yes, Hotel Bécquer is an excellent choice for business travel. We have versatile spaces and meeting rooms, equipped with the necessary audiovisual technology for holding events, business meetings, training sessions, or conferences.

Please contact our events department so we can understand your needs and offer you a personalized proposal, including coffee break or business lunch options.

          Can I pay with cash?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) for the payment of your stay. For greater security, a faster check-in process, and in compliance with current regulations, payment by card is preferred.

Although you can pay for the stay in cash (always respecting the legal limits for cash payments), a credit card will still be required as a guarantee at check-in.

          What is the hotel's history?

Hotel Bécquer is much more than a hotel; it is an establishment with a deep-rooted family tradition in Seville. The current building stands on the site of the former Palace House of the Marquises of Las Torres, and our hotel project has been carefully managed through five generations.

Our commitment is to combine this heritage of classic Sevillian hospitality with modern facilities, an unbeatable location, and, above all, warm, detailed-oriented service.

Is the hotel noisy because it's in the center?

We are in a vibrant, central location, which is a great advantage for exploring the city. We are aware that rest is the number one priority, which is why our rooms are well-insulated with double-glazed windows.

However, if you are a particularly light sleeper or prefer maximum tranquility, we recommend requesting a room overlooking our inner courtyard when making your reservation. We will do our best to assign it to you.

What sustainability measures do you apply?

We are firmly committed to the environment and sustainable tourism. Our hotel applies numerous measures for energy efficiency, water consumption reduction, and waste management.

We are proud to say that the hotel calculates, registers, and reduces its carbon footprint, having obtained the official seal from the MITERD (Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge). Choosing us is also choosing more responsible tourism.

Is there any special detail if we are celebrating a birthday or anniversary?

We love being part of your special celebrations! 🥳 If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or any memorable occasion, please let us know in advance (when booking or a few days before your arrival).

Our team will strive to have a special detail for you in the room to make your day even more unforgettable. We can also help you organize surprises, such as ordering flowers, a bottle of cava, or booking a romantic restaurant.

Do you have rooms with a balcony?

Yes, we have the "Deluxe Room with Balcony" category. These rooms offer this wonderful extra, a small private balcony or terrace, ideal for looking out and enjoying the city's atmosphere, getting some fresh air, or watching the life on Reyes Católicos street go by.

They are highly requested rooms, so we recommend booking them in advance.

What is the best memory I can take away from Hotel Bécquer?

We believe you will take away two unforgettable memories. The first is the feeling of having been cared for as if at home, the warm service from our staff, and the comfort of your stay.

The second, without a doubt, is an image: the magical view of the sunset over the Giralda from our rooftop terrace, ideally with a cocktail in hand after a dip in the pool. That is the true Bécquer experience!

I forgot my charger, can I borrow one from reception?

Of course! It's one of the most common things to forget, and we are prepared for it. We have chargers for the most common mobile phones (iPhone, USB-C, etc.) at reception.

You can request one, and we will lend it to you against a small deposit, which will be returned to you when you return it. Don't hesitate to ask.

In case it rains, can you lend me an umbrella?

Of course. Although Seville enjoys a lot of sun, if you're caught in a rainy day, we have complimentary umbrellas available for our guests at the hotel entrance. Don't let a shower stop you from enjoying the city. ☔

Do you have international plug adapters?

Do you have baby cots? Do they have any cost?

Yes, families are welcome. We have free baby cots available for our youngest guests (generally up to 2 years old).

Since we have a limited number of cots, we strongly recommend requesting one when making your reservation (in the requests section) so we can guarantee its availability upon your arrival and have it ready in your room.

Do you have high chairs in the restaurant for breakfast?

Yes, of course. In our breakfast room, we have high chairs available so that children can sit at the table comfortably and enjoy the buffet with the whole family. Just ask our restaurant staff for one.

We will send whatever you need to your room.

Do you have a scale to weigh luggage before going to the airport?

Yes, we know how important it is to avoid overweight baggage fees from airlines. We have a luggage scale in our luggage storage area, next to reception. You can use it for free to check the weight of your suitcases before heading to the airport.

Can I print my boarding passes or some tickets?

Yes, our rooms are equipped with modern Smart TVs. This allows you, in addition to watching national and international broadcast channels, to access your own accounts on streaming platforms like Netflix, HBO, Prime Video, YouTube, etc. You can relax watching your favorite series after a long day of sightseeing, just like at home!

I've read that you lend iPads or video game consoles, is that true?

It's true! It's one of our unique services to make your stay more entertaining. Upon request at reception and subject to availability, we can lend you an iPad, a PlayStation (PS4), or a DVD player for use in your room.

It's a very popular service, especially for families with children, so we recommend requesting it upon your arrival.

Yes, of course. You can bring food and drinks (non-alcoholic or purchased outside) to your room without any problem and consume them there. We only ask, out of respect for other guests and staff, that you avoid foods with excessively strong odors and dispose of waste in the bins.

Do you have gluten-free options or options for other allergies at breakfast?

Yes. We take dietary needs very seriously. In our breakfast buffet, we have a selection of specific gluten-free products (like bread, cookies, packaged pastries, etc.).

We greatly appreciate you informing us of any allergy or intolerance (gluten, lactose, nuts...) when booking or upon arriving at the buffet. Our restaurant staff will be happy to show you the best options and coordinate with the kitchen for any special needs.

Is the tap water in Seville drinkable?

Yes, the tap water in Seville is completely drinkable and of good quality, subject to strict health controls. You can drink it and refill your bottle with total confidence.

Additionally, upon your arrival, you will find a complimentary bottle of mineral water in your room (in superior category rooms).

Do you have bar service at the terrace pool?

Yes. During the pool's opening season (summer months), our rooftop terrace comes alive with a magnificent bar service.

You can enjoy a select menu of cocktails 🍹, soft drinks, beers, wines, and snacks while you relax on the sun loungers or take a swim, all with the stunning views of the Giralda as a backdrop. It's the perfect plan for Seville's summer afternoons.

Can I ask for ice to be sent to my room?

Of course. If you would like ice to cool a drink in your room, just call our room service, and we will bring an ice bucket up to you.

Is there a minibar in the room? What does it contain?

Yes, all our rooms have a stocked minibar. In it, you will find a selection of drinks (still and sparkling water, soft drinks, juices, beer) and some snacks (like chips or chocolate bars).

The consumption of these products has an additional cost. You will find the price list next to the minibar. Consumed items will be charged to your room account to be paid conveniently at check-out.

How often are the rooms cleaned?

Room cleaning service is performed daily, usually during the morning, so that when you return from your day of sightseeing, you will find it in perfect condition.

If at any time you prefer us not to enter for cleaning to respect your rest, simply place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outside of the door.

I have a dust allergy, can you pay special attention to the cleaning?

Of course. Your health and comfort are paramount. Please inform us of your allergy when making the reservation (in the requests section) or at check-in.

We will notify our housekeeping team to pay special attention to the cleaning of your room, minimizing dust and, if you wish, removing items like rugs or extra cushions to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

The room temperature is not to my liking, can I regulate it?

Yes, of course. Each room has an individual thermostat so you can regulate the climate control (air conditioning in summer or heating in winter) and set it to the temperature that is most comfortable for you.

The system is centralized (cool or heat mode depending on the season), but you control the temperature and fan speed. If you have any difficulty operating it, please call reception (by dialing 9), and we will be happy to help.

There's a burnt-out lightbulb in my room, can you change it?

Of course, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please notify us at reception, letting us know which light is out, and our maintenance staff will come to fix it as soon as possible so that everything is perfect.

Can you recommend a good tapas restaurant near the hotel?

It will be a pleasure! You are in the perfect place for it. The hotel's area (El Arenal) and the Triana neighborhood (just across the bridge) are two of the best tapas areas in all of Seville.

Depending on your tastes (traditional tapas, more modern, fish, meat, with a terrace...), our reception team will give you the best personal recommendations. We know the places where we, the locals, go, beyond the tourist guides. Don't hesitate to ask us!

What is the best time to visit the Royal Alcázar and avoid queues?

The best advice we can give you is to buy your ticket online in advance on the official Alcázar website for a specific time slot. This will allow you to skip the ticket office queue, which is usually the longest.

That said, the least crowded times are usually first thing in the morning (right at opening time) or around lunchtime (between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM), especially outside of high season.

Where can I see a good flamenco show that isn't a "tourist trap"?

That's an excellent question. Seville offers everything from grand shows to very intimate tablaos. For an authentic experience, we recommend looking in the Triana neighborhood (the cradle of flamenco, 5 minutes from the hotel) or at certain venues in the center that highly value artistic quality.

At reception, we can advise you and book at prestigious tablaos with real "duende" (spirit), offering serious and moving shows. We will make the recommendation based on the type of experience you are looking for (with dinner, show only, more intimate, etc.).

Is there a pharmacy near the hotel? And one that is open 24h?

Yes, there are several pharmacies in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, less than a 1 or 2-minute walk away. Our reception team will be happy to show you the nearest one.

If you need a pharmacy outside of business hours, we will inform you of the closest 24-hour (on-duty) pharmacy that night, as they rotate.

Where can I buy typical Seville souvenirs?

You are very close to the best areas for that. The streets surrounding the Cathedral (Avenida de la Constitución) and the famous pedestrian shopping streets (Sierpes and Tetuán) are full of craft and souvenir shops.

If you are looking for something more specific, like authentic ceramics, we recommend crossing the bridge and visiting the specialized shops in the Triana neighborhood.

Is it safe to walk around the hotel area at night?

Yes, absolutely. The hotel's area (El Arenal) is one of the most central, touristic, and safest in Seville. There is always a lot of life, with restaurants, bars, and theaters nearby, so there is foot traffic until late at night.

As in any big city, we always recommend taking the usual precautions (watching your bag, wallet, etc.), but you can walk around with complete peace of mind.

Can you call a taxi for me? Is it better to order one through an app?

We will be happy to call an official Seville taxi for you. It's a service we manage constantly. The taxi will arrive at the hotel door in just a few minutes.

In Seville, both official taxis (which we can call, or you can hail on the street) and apps like Uber or Cabify work very well. Any of the options is fast and reliable.

What will the weather be like tomorrow?

Of course! Ask us at reception at any time, and we will provide you with the most up-to-date weather forecast (high and low temperatures, and probability of rain) so you can plan your day, your clothing, and your visits in the best way possible.

          Is there a supermarket nearby?

Yes, you are surrounded by options. A few minutes' walk from the hotel, you will find several supermarkets (like a MAS or a Carrefour Express) and convenience stores ("minimarkets") for anything you might need: water, fruit, a snack, etc.

How can I leave a tip for the housekeeping staff?

Our housekeeping team works very hard to ensure your room is spotless. If you wish to leave a tip as a token of appreciation, the most common way is to leave it in cash in the room (for example, on the bedside table or desk) on your departure day. We thank you greatly on their behalf.

Is access to the rooftop pool adapted?

Yes, accessibility is important to us. Access to our rooftop terrace, where the pool and sundeck are located, is fully adapted for people with reduced mobility via an **elevator**.

Do you have wheelchairs available to lend?

We do not have our own wheelchairs at the hotel for lending. However, if you need one during your stay, we can help you arrange the rental of one through a local partner company or a nearby mobility shop, so it can be delivered to the hotel.

Are the showers walk-in or with a bathtub?

We have rooms with both options to suit all tastes. We have rooms with a bathtub (some with hydromassage) and others with large walk-in showers, many of them with a rain effect.

Our adapted rooms always have a roll-in shower. If you have a clear preference (e.g., you prefer a shower for convenience or a bathtub for a relaxing bath), please indicate it when making your reservation, and we will do our best to satisfy your request based on availability.

Does the hotel have an elevator?

Yes, of course. The hotel has several elevators available for our guests to comfortably access all room floors, as well as the breakfast room and the rooftop terrace.

Are there any steps to enter the hotel or to access the reception?

No, the main entrance of the hotel from Reyes Católicos street is completely accessible and at ground level. You will not find any architectural barriers to enter, making access easy with luggage, strollers, or wheelchairs. The reception desk is also easily accessible.

Can you store medication for me that needs refrigeration?

Yes, of course. We understand the importance of maintaining the cold chain. If you are bringing medication that requires refrigeration, please give it to the reception staff upon your arrival. We will store it in our refrigerators safely and under controlled conditions, and you can have access to it 24 hours a day.

Although the rooms have minibars, they do not guarantee the stable temperature that medication may require.

Do you offer a wake-up call service?

Yes, we offer a personalized and reliable wake-up call service. If you have to catch an early flight or simply don't want to oversleep, just request it at reception. Tell us your room number and the time you wish to be called, and we'll take care of it.

If I have to check out very early, can I have some breakfast?

Of course! We don't want you to leave on an empty stomach. If you have to leave before our buffet opening time (usually before 7:30 AM), please notify the reception the night before.

We can prepare a take-away "Picnic Box" breakfast for you, which generally includes a coffee or juice, a piece of fruit, and a pastry, so you can have something on the way to the airport or station.

Can I receive packages or mail at the hotel during my stay?

Yes, without any problem. You can send packages or correspondence to the hotel's address, clearly indicating your name and, if possible, your dates of stay.

Our reception team will receive the packages at no extra cost, store them safely, and we will give them to you upon your arrival or bring them up to your room. This is a very useful service for online shopping, for example.

Is there a doctor or emergency medical service associated with the hotel?

Yes, for your peace of mind, we collaborate with a private medical service available 24 hours that can travel to the hotel to attend to you in your room in case of an emergency or if you are not feeling well. This service has a cost that the guest must pay (or manage with their travel insurance).

If you need assistance, please contact reception immediately, and we will arrange the visit.

Can I request that my room not be cleaned during my entire stay?

Yes, of course. We absolutely respect your privacy. If you prefer that the cleaning staff not access your room during your stay (or on a specific day), simply place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outer handle of your door.

If you need a resupply of clean towels, amenities, or the bin emptied, you can request it by calling reception, and we will leave it at your door.

Do you have any promotions for long stays?

Yes. Staying longer in Seville has its rewards! We offer a "Long Stay Rate" with special progressive discounts for stays of 3, 5, or more nights. The more nights you stay, the greater the discount on the daily rate.

You can check this promotion and its conditions directly on the booking engine of our official website.

Does the hotel staff speak English or other languages?

Yes, of course. Our reception and customer service staff are prepared to assist our international guests. Our entire reception team speaks English fluently, and many of them also manage in other languages like French or Italian. Communication will not be a problem.

Where is the nearest emergency exit to my room?

Your safety is paramount. On the inside of your room door, you will find a detailed floor plan. This plan clearly indicates the location of your room, the stairs, and the nearest emergency exits, as well as the location of fire extinguishers. We recommend taking a minute to locate it upon your arrival.

What makes Hotel Bécquer so special?

We believe it's the combination of three unique factors:

  • Unbeatable Location: Being right in the center, able to walk to the Cathedral, Triana, and El Arenal, but on an accessible and comfortable street.
  • The Rooftop Experience: Our terrace with a pool and views of the Giralda is an urban oasis that offers unforgettable moments, especially at sunset.
  • The Human Touch: Above all, our team. We are a hotel with a long family tradition, and our vocation is authentic Sevillian hospitality. We don't want you to be just another guest; we want you to feel cared for, attended to, and as if you were in your own home in Seville. We take care of the details that make the difference.

Can I request a room on a high floor?

Yes, you can request a room on a high floor when making your reservation (in the special requests section). Rooms on upper floors are often quieter and some offer better views.

We will do our best to assign it to you, although you should keep in mind that, like all special requests, it is subject to availability on your arrival day.

          Do you have connecting rooms?

Yes, we have a limited number of connecting rooms (connected by an internal door). They are the ideal option for families or groups traveling together, as they allow you to be close while maintaining the independence of having two rooms and two bathrooms.

Since they are in high demand, we recommend contacting the hotel directly by phone or email to manage this type of reservation and to ensure availability.

Is there a cost for receiving a package at the hotel?

No, the hotel does not charge any fee for receiving packages or mail in your name. It is a complimentary service we offer our guests. We will receive your packages and store them safely until you request them.

If I forget something in the room, how can I retrieve it?

If you leave a personal item in the room upon your departure, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email.

Our housekeeping team follows a strict protocol for logging found items. If we locate your belonging, we will store it in our lost and found department and coordinate with you the best way to get it to you (usually by arranging a courier shipment at your expense).

Can you recommend a place to rent bicycles?

Yes, that's a fantastic idea! Seville is a very flat city and has an extensive network of bike lanes (over 180 km), making it ideal for exploring by bike.

At reception, we can inform you about the nearest bicycle rental companies to the hotel. There are several within a few minutes' walk that offer rentals by the hour or for the full day.

Is there a smoking area in the hotel?

We remind you that, by law, smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel, including rooms and their balconies.

However, guests who wish to smoke may do so in the designated outdoor areas, such as certain areas of our rooftop terrace or at the main entrance of the hotel.

Does the hotel organize any tours or activities?

Although we do not organize tours directly as a hotel, our concierge team are experts on the city and act as your best travel agent.

We can recommend and book the best experiences for you: from guided tours of the Cathedral and Alcázar, walking tours of Santa Cruz and Triana, tapas tours, Sevillian cooking classes, boat trips on the river, or day trips to nearby places like Cordoba, Granada, or the White Villages.

Is there any discount for children's accommodation?

Our policy for children is very favorable. Generally:

  • Babies (0-2 years old) who sleep in a cot stay for free.
  • The policy for older children sharing a room with two adults varies. Often, the first child can stay for free or at a significant discount if using existing beds. If an extra bed is required, it usually has a supplement.

We recommend checking the specific conditions when making your reservation, indicating the children's ages, to get the exact rate.

How far is the Triana neighborhood?

We are right next to it! It's one of the great advantages of our location. You just have to leave the hotel, walk 3 minutes to the Isabel II Bridge (popularly known as the Triana Bridge) and cross it.

In less than 5 minutes on foot from our door, you will be standing in the Plaza del Altozano, the gateway to this emblematic and authentic neighborhood, the cradle of flamenco and ceramics.

What is the best advice you can give me to enjoy Seville?

To "get lost" in its streets. Beyond the major monuments (which are a must-see), the true magic of Seville is in the details: in getting lost in the narrow streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in discovering a hidden square full of orange trees, in entering a courtyard full of flowers, or in feeling the atmosphere of a Triana bar at aperitif time.

Let yourself go, walk without a fixed destination, mingle with the locals, and enjoy the moment. And of course, ask us anything! We are here to help you discover that authentic Seville.

Can you get us tickets for a good flamenco show?

Of course! It's one of our specialties and an experience you shouldn't miss in Seville. We collaborate with some of the best and most authentic tablaos in the city, both in the center and in the nearby Triana neighborhood.

We can advise you based on the type of show you are looking for (more intimate, larger, with dinner, just a drink...) and manage the booking for you so you only have to worry about enjoying the "duende" (spirit) and passion of flamenco.

We only have one day, what is the best route to see the essentials from the hotel?

You are in the perfect place for an express day! Our location allows you to do everything on foot. This would be our ideal route:

  1. Morning (Monuments): Leave the hotel, and in 5-10 minutes, you'll be on Avenida de la Constitución. Dedicate the morning to visiting the UNESCO World Heritage monuments: the imposing Cathedral and the climb up the Giralda, followed by the magical Royal Alcázar (it's essential to get tickets in advance on their official websites!).
  2. Midday (Charm): When leaving the Alcázar, get lost in the narrow streets and courtyards of the Santa Cruz Neighborhood. It's the perfect time to have some tapas in its traditional bodegas.
  3. Afternoon (Tradition and Views): Head back towards the hotel and cross the Triana Bridge (5 minutes away). Stroll along Calle Betis by the river, visit the Triana Market, and feel the atmosphere of this cradle of flamenco.
  4. Sunset (The Toast): End the day by going up to our rooftop terrace for a cocktail while watching the sun set behind the Giralda. It will be the perfect finishing touch.

And if we have 2 days, what do you recommend we add?

Perfect! With two days, you can see the city at a more relaxed pace. To the plan for the first day (Cathedral, Alcázar, Triana), we recommend adding for the second day:

  • Morning (Plaza de España): Dedicate the morning to visiting the majestic Plaza de España and strolling through the María Luisa Park.
  • Afternoon (Modernity and History): In the afternoon, you can visit the avant-garde Metropol Parasol ("Las Setas") to go up to its viewpoint (check their website for tickets), and end the day exploring the tapas bars in the Alfalfa or El Arenal areas, very close to the hotel.

I've seen huge queues at the Alcázar and the Cathedral, can you help me with tickets?

Absolutely. It's the most common concern and has an easy solution: planning ahead. The queues you see are for the ticket office.

We strongly recommend buying tickets online on the official websites of the Alcázar and the Cathedral several days or even weeks in advance, choosing a specific time. This will give you priority access.

If it's already too late for that, the alternative is to join a guided tour, which usually has reserved spots. At reception, we can inform you of the available options. Don't let a queue ruin your visit.

Do you recommend a boat tour on the Guadalquivir River?

Yes, it's a very relaxing and different way to see the city, especially on hot days. The panoramic tours last about an hour and allow you to admire the different bridges, the Torre del Oro, and the Expo '92 pavilions from another perspective.

The piers are very close to the hotel, next to the Torre del Oro (Gold Tower). We can inform you at reception about schedules and prices.

Are there "Free Walking" tours that start nearby?

Yes, Seville has a wide range of "free tours". Several of the most popular companies have their meeting points in very central squares like Plaza Nueva or Plaza del Triunfo (by the Cathedral), both just a 5-10 minute walk from our door. It's an excellent way to get a first impression of the city's history and legends.

I don't really understand how "going for tapas" works. Can you explain?

It's the best part of our gastronomic culture! "Tapear" (to go for tapas) is more of an action than a meal. It's a social act that consists of going from bar to bar, having a drink (beer, fino sherry, manzanilla...) in each one, accompanied by a small portion of food, the "tapa".

You don't order everything in one place. The usual way is to stand at the bar, order one or two tapas, and then move on to the next place to try their specialty. It's a fun and economical way to have dinner while trying many different things!

What typical Sevillian or Andalusian dish should we not miss?

It's hard to pick just one! But if we had to make an essential list, you can't leave without trying:

  • Espinacas con Garbanzos (Spinach with Chickpeas): A hearty dish with Arab heritage.
  • Solomillo al Whisky (Pork Loin in Whisky Sauce): A classic in tapas bars.
  • Salmorejo: (In summer) The traditional cold soup of tomato, bread, and oil.
  • "Pescaíto" frito (Fried Fish): Especially anchovies, sole, or "adobo" (marinated dogfish).
  • And of course, a good plate of Jamón Ibérico de Bellota (Acorn-fed Iberian Ham).

What neighborhood do you recommend for dinner tonight?

You have several excellent options just a step away from the hotel. It depends on the atmosphere you're looking for:

  • El Arenal (your area): Right around the hotel (see on map). It's an area for classic, bullfighting-themed tapas, with lifelong bodegas.
  • Santa Cruz Neighborhood: 10 minutes away (see walking route). Ideal for a more romantic dinner and a stroll through its illuminated streets.
  • Triana: Just across the bridge (see walking route). Perfect for a more authentic, popular, and vibrant experience, with many taverns and restaurants overlooking the river.

Where can we have a good breakfast with ham toast outside the hotel?

Although our buffet is magnificent, if one day you feel like having the local bar experience, you're in the perfect spot. In the streets around the hotel (on the parallel street, San Pablo) and in the Triana Market (across the bridge), you'll find many traditional cafes and bars that serve the classic toast with extra virgin olive oil and excellent Iberian ham. It's the quintessential Sevillian breakfast.

We are coming in the middle of summer, what advice do you have for beating the heat?

That's the key question for visiting Seville in summer. The advice is to "live like the locals":

  1. Wake up early: Visit the monuments (Alcázar, Cathedral) first thing in the morning when it's coolest.
  2. Hydrate: Drink lots of water throughout the day.
  3. Seek shade: Always walk in the shade (the street awnings will be your best friends!).
  4. The central hours: Use the hottest part of the day (from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM) to have a leisurely lunch, rest, take a siesta, or, of course, enjoy a swim in our rooftop pool!
  5. Enjoy the night: Life in Seville in summer begins at sunset. The nights are wonderful for walking, dining late, and enjoying the terraces.

What is the best way to get around Seville if we get tired of walking?

Although the center is very walkable, you have many options:

  • Bicycle or Scooter: Seville is very flat and has an excellent rental service for bikes (public and private) and electric scooters, with lanes throughout the city.
  • Taxi / Ride-hailing: This is the most comfortable and fastest option for door-to-door trips. Both official taxis and apps (Uber/Cabify) work very well.
  • Bus (TUSSAM): The city buses (TUSSAM website) are very efficient and connect the neighborhoods well. There are important bus stops near the hotel.
  • Tram (Metrocentro): A tram line (see info) runs along Avenida de la Constitución, connecting Plaza Nueva to Plaza de España.

What is the best place to take a panoramic photo of the city?

You have three fantastic options, and one of them is right here at the hotel!

  1. The Giralda: The climb up the tower (see on map) offers the classic view of the Patio de los Naranjos, the Cathedral, and the historic center.
  2. Las Setas (Metropol Parasol): Offers a modern, 360-degree panoramic view (see on map) of the whole city, ideal for sunset (visit their website).
  3. Our Rooftop Terrace: For an exclusive view, with the Giralda in the background and the rooftops of El Arenal, you don't have to go far. The photo at sunset from our pool is, simply, spectacular.

Is it worth taking a day trip to another city? Which one?

If you have 3 or more days in Seville, definitely. The most comfortable and recommended day trip is to Cordoba. The high-speed train (AVE) leaves from Santa Justa and gets you to the center of Cordoba in just 45 minutes. You can check schedules on the RENFE website. It's a perfect visit to see its impressive Mosque-Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter.

Other popular options, although they require a bit more time, are Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera (wineries and horses), or the White Villages (Ronda). We can help you organize the excursion.

Where can we buy authentic Triana ceramics?

To ensure it's authentic and not an industrial souvenir, the best thing is to cross the Triana Bridge (5 minutes from the hotel) and go into the neighborhood.

We recommend visiting the shops and small workshops on Calle Alfarería or Calle Antillano Campos. There you will find artisans at work and can buy unique, hand-painted pieces, from tiles to tableware.

Is the "siesta" thing true? Do shops close at midday?

It's a custom that is still maintained, especially in traditional commerce and particularly in the hotter months! The large chains on Sierpes/Tetuán streets and the department stores (like El Corte Inglés, very close by) do not close; they have continuous hours.

However, the small neighborhood shops (haberdasheries, workshops, etc.) do tend to close from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The main monuments and museums usually have continuous hours, but it's always good to check.

Can you recommend a "secret corner" or a charming square that isn't in all the guides?

Of course! We love to share those secrets. We invite you to discover:

  • Plaza de Doña Elvira: In the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, with its orange trees and fountain.
  • Patio de Banderas: Just at the exit of the Alcázar, for a spectacular and little-known photo of the Giralda.
  • The quiet Callejón del Agua (Water Alley).
  • Plaza del Cabildo: A hidden semi-circular square next to the Cathedral.

Is there a food market nearby worth visiting?

Without a doubt, the Mercado de Triana (Triana Market). It's a must-visit and is only a 5-minute walk away, just across the bridge. (Visit its website).

It's built on the remains of the old San Jorge Castle (which you can visit). Besides seeing the fresh produce stalls (incredible fish, fruit, hams...), it has become a gastronomic hub, with small bars where you can eat the freshest fish and seafood imaginable.

What is there to do on the bank of the Guadalquivir River, near the hotel?

The riverbank is perfect for walking, running, or cycling. You can walk south to the Torre del Oro (Gold Tower), relax in the Paseo de Colón gardens, or have a drink on Calle Betis (in Triana), which is full of bars with terraces overlooking the river.

Is the water from the fountain in Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes drinkable?

Although Seville's tap water is drinkable and excellent, as a general rule, it is not recommended to drink from ornamental fountains (like the one in that square) as the water may be in a closed circuit and not treated for consumption.

It is better to use the designated public drinking fountains or refill your bottle at the hotel. Our team is here to make your exploration of Seville an unforgettable experience!

Do you offer babysitting services?

Yes, we can help you arrange a reliable external babysitting service. We collaborate with qualified professionals so you can enjoy dinner or an event with peace of mind, knowing your children are well cared for.

This service requires advance booking (we recommend at least 24-48 hours) and has an additional cost that you will pay directly to the caregiver. Please contact reception for more details and to arrange the service.

Is there a children's playground near the hotel?

Yes, Seville is a city with many green spaces. Very close to the hotel, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk away, you have the Murillo Gardens (Jardines de Murillo), next to the Alcázar, which are beautiful and peaceful. A little further (about a 20-25 minute walk or a short bus/tram ride) is the magnificent María Luisa Park, the city's large green lung, with ample areas for playing, ponds, and swings.

Is the rooftop pool suitable for young children?

Our rooftop pool is a fantastic place for the family to cool off. It's a moderately sized pool, ideal for a dip. However, it's important to note that it is not a specific children's pool and does not have lifeguard service.

Constant adult supervision is essential at all times when children are in the pool area. It's a space to be enjoyed with caution.

Are the hotel and the area accessible with a baby stroller/pram?

Yes, the hotel is fully accessible with a baby stroller. We have elevators to access all floors, and there are no steps at the main entrance.

As for the area, the center of Seville is mostly flat, and many streets are pedestrianized, making it easy to move around with a stroller. However, please note that in some parts of the historic center (like the Santa Cruz neighborhood), the pavement can be cobblestone and somewhat uneven.

Do the rooms have a desk for working?

Yes, most of our rooms are equipped with a functional desk and a comfortable chair, considering the needs of our guests traveling for work. They also feature good lighting and nearby outlets to connect your laptop and other devices.

Our free high-speed Wi-Fi connection will allow you to work efficiently.

Can I request an invoice in my company's name?

Of course. If you need an official invoice in your company's name, please provide us with the complete fiscal details (Company Name, VAT number, Fiscal Address) either at check-in or check-out.

Our reception team will prepare and provide you with the corresponding invoice without any problem.

Do you offer corporate rates or a loyalty program for frequent travelers?

Yes. For individual travelers, we invite you to join our Club Bécquer, our free loyalty program that offers exclusive discounts and benefits from the very first booking.

If your company has frequent accommodation needs in Seville, we recommend contacting our sales department. We can explore the possibility of establishing a corporate agreement with special rates tailored to your volume of stays.

Do you offer an express check-out service?

Yes, to speed up your departure, especially if you are in a hurry to catch a flight or train, we offer the option of an express check-out.

If you have provided us with a credit card as a guarantee and have no outstanding extra charges or prefer them to be charged directly to that card, you can simply drop your room key in the designated box at reception without needing to stop at the desk. If you need an invoice, you can request that we email it to you.

Besides flamenco, what other types of shows can I see in Seville?

Seville has a very rich and varied cultural life! Beyond the essential flamenco, the city offers:

  • Theatre: Classic and contemporary plays in emblematic theatres like the Lope de Vega Theatre or more alternative venues.
  • Opera and Zarzuela: Mainly at the Teatro de la Maestranza, which has a top-level program.
  • Concerts: From classical music (at the Maestranza or Espacio Turina) to pop, rock, and indie in venues like Sala Custom or Malandar, and large concerts at the Cartuja Center CITE or the Rocío Jurado Auditorium.
  • Musicals: Major touring musicals are often scheduled at the Cartuja Center CITE or the Congress Palace (Fibes).
  • Special Events: Depending on the date, you might coincide with film, music, or dance festivals, or unique cultural events.

Ask us at reception, and we will inform you about the schedule during your stay.

How can I find out what shows are on during my visit?

The best way is to ask us directly at reception or concierge. We have updated information and can give you personalized recommendations.

Additionally, you can check online cultural agendas like OnSevilla or the culture section of the official tourism website Visit Sevilla. It's also a good idea to check the websites of the main theatres and auditoriums mentioned earlier.

Can you help me buy tickets for theatre, concerts, or opera?

Yes, of course. Our concierge team will be happy to advise you on the available program during your dates and, whenever possible, assist you with the booking or ticket purchase process.

For many shows, purchases are made online through the official websites of the theatres or ticketing platforms. We can guide you through the process or inform you on how to proceed to secure your seats.

Are there any special cultural events or festivals during my stay?

Seville hosts numerous events throughout the year. Depending on your visit dates, you might coincide with:

  • The Bienal de Flamenco (even years, usually September/October).
  • The Seville European Film Festival (usually in November).
  • The Festival de Música Antigua (FeMÀS) (Early Music Festival, in spring).
  • Concerts and special events during Christmas, Holy Week (Semana Santa), or the April Fair (Feria de Abril).
  • Summer concert series in venues like the Alcázar gardens.

Ask us at reception with your travel dates, and we will be delighted to inform you of the most outstanding events happening then.
