Frequently asked questions
Any doubts or questions?
What time is check-in and check-out?
So that you can settle in with complete comfort, the official check-in time is from 2:00 PM. Check-out time is at 12:00 PM (noon).
If you plan to arrive before 2:00 PM, don't worry: you can register and we will store your luggage in our free luggage room so you can start enjoying Seville from the very first minute.
Do you offer a late check-out service?
Yes! We understand that sometimes you need a little more time to enjoy the room or the city. We offer a late check-out service subject to availability.
For some of our higher category rooms, such as the Junior Suite, this service is included complimentary until 2:00 PM. For the rest of the rooms, you can request it at reception and we will inform you of the availability and the corresponding supplement. We recommend checking the morning of your departure for better management.
Can I cancel my reservation for free?
Flexibility is very important. We have different types of rates to adapt to your needs. Many of our rates, especially if you book directly with us, are flexible rates that allow free cancellation up to a certain deadline (for example, 24 or 48 hours before your arrival).
However, we also offer non-refundable rates with larger discounts. We ask that you carefully review the specific cancellation conditions detailed in your booking confirmation email. If you have any doubts, our reservations team will be happy to help you.
Where is it cheapest to book the Hotel Bécquer in Seville?
Without a doubt, the most economical way to book is through our official website. We always guarantee you the best available price online.
In addition, by booking directly with us, you will have access to exclusive promotions and special packages that you will not find on other platforms. We invite you to join our Club Bécquer: it is free and, just for being a member, you will get an immediate additional discount on your reservation. It's all advantages!
What do I need to check in?
The process is very simple. To register your entry, we will need a valid identity document (ID or Passport) for all guests over 16 years of age, as required by law.
In addition, we will ask for a credit card as a guarantee for the stay and for any extra consumption you may make (such as the minibar or parking). If your reservation is prepaid, we recommend bringing the same card you used for payment in case it is necessary to verify it.
Can I store my luggage if I arrive before check-in time or leave after check-out?
Of course you can! We want you to make the most of your stay without having to carry your bags. We have a completely free luggage storage service at your disposal at reception.
Whether you arrive before 2:00 PM or your flight or train leaves late on the day of your departure, you can leave your luggage with us safely and explore the city in complete comfort from the first to the last minute.
Where is the hotel located exactly?
We are in a privileged location, at Calle Reyes Católicos, 4, right in the heart of Seville. It is the perfect meeting point between the historic center and the authentic neighborhood of Triana.
You will be a short and pleasant walk from everything: just 5-10 minutes on foot from the Cathedral and the Giralda, the Santa Cruz neighborhood, and less than 5 minutes from the Maestranza Bullring and the Guadalquivir River. Crossing the iconic Triana Bridge, which is right next to us, you will immerse yourself in the most emblematic neighborhood of the city.
You can see our exact location and plan your routes here on Google Maps.
Does the hotel have parking? How much does it cost?
Yes, for your maximum comfort, we have private parking in the same building as the hotel. Arriving in the center of Seville and not having to worry about the car is a real luxury.
Given that we are right in the center, spaces are limited, so we highly recommend booking it in advance along with your room to guarantee your space. You can do this by calling us or sending an email. The cost is a fixed rate per night; please check with our reception team for the exact price for your stay dates.
How does the parking service work?
Our parking works with a convenient valet parking service. Upon your arrival, simply stop at the hotel entrance and our reception staff will guide you. One of our colleagues will take care of parking your vehicle for you.
To manage the parking and be able to move cars efficiently and safely, it is necessary that you leave your keys at reception. It is a totally safe service, highly valued by our customers, which allows us to fully optimize the spaces and saves you the hassle of maneuvering in a downtown garage.
How can I get there from Seville airport (SVQ)?
You have two main and very comfortable options:
- Taxi: It is the fastest option (about 20-25 minutes). There is an official fixed rate from the airport to the center of Seville (which includes our hotel). The price is around €25-30, varying slightly if it is nighttime or a holiday.
- Bus (Line EA - Airport Special): It is the most economical option. The bus leaves very frequently from the arrivals terminal. You should get off at the "Paseo Colón" stop (next to the Torre del Oro). From there, the hotel is a pleasant walk of less than 10 minutes. You can check the schedules on the official AENA website.
You can see the public transport route at this Google Maps link.
And from Santa Justa train station?
Getting here from Santa Justa is very simple:
- Taxi: It is the fastest and most direct way. You will find an official taxi rank at the exit of the station. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes and the approximate cost is €8-12.
- City Bus: You can take line 32 (towards Plaza del Duque) and get off at Plaza de la Magdalena, a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Also, the circular lines C3 or C4 will drop you off nearby. You can plan your route on the TUSSAM website (Seville buses).
See the route options on Google Maps by clicking here.
Is the hotel in an area with easy walking access to the main monuments?
Absolutely! Our location is undoubtedly one of our strongest points. You will be able to discover Seville by taking pleasant walks without the need for transport.
To give you an idea (approximate walking times):
- Maestranza Bullring: 3-5 minutes (see walking route).
- Triana Bridge and Triana Neighborhood: 5 minutes (see walking route).
- Cathedral and Giralda: 5-10 minutes (see walking route).

What type of beds do you have? Can I request a double bed?
To adapt to the needs of each traveler, we have rooms with a double bed (Queen or King size) and rooms with two single beds.
You can indicate your preference when making the reservation (in the comments or requests section). Although we cannot guarantee it 100%, as it depends on availability on the day of your arrival, we will note your request and do absolutely everything possible to assign you the type of bed you desire.
Are the rooms soundproofed?
Your rest is our priority. Our rooms are designed to guarantee comfort and have double-glazed windows and a good level of acoustic insulation to minimize the noise of such a central and vibrant location.
If you are particularly sensitive to noise or prefer maximum tranquility, we recommend requesting an interior room (overlooking our courtyard) when making your reservation. We will do our best to assign it to you.
Is there a coffee maker and kettle in the rooms?
Yes, so you can enjoy a coffee or tea first thing in the morning, most of our higher category rooms (such as the Premium, Deluxe, and Junior Suite) have a capsule coffee maker and a water kettle with a selection of infusions. This service also includes complimentary mineral water.

Yes, and it is one of the jewels of the hotel! 💎 We have a spectacular pool on our rooftop terrace, the perfect place to cool off on hot days while enjoying unbeatable panoramic views of the Giralda and the rooftops of Seville.

Is the rooftop terrace open all year round?
Yes, our magnificent rooftop terrace, with its incomparable views of the Giralda, is accessible to our guests all year round (weather permitting).

What is the breakfast like? What are its hours?
Our breakfast is the best way to start the day! We offer a complete and varied buffet breakfast, where quality and local products prevail.

We also have options for special diets (gluten-free, etc.) upon request.
The usual breakfast hours are from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM, so you can enjoy it at your leisure.
Is breakfast included in the price?
To offer you maximum flexibility, we have both options. When making your reservation, you can choose between the "Room Only" rate or the "Bed and Breakfast" rate.
We recommend booking the rate with breakfast included, as it is usually more advantageous than paying for it directly at the hotel. If you have booked "Room Only", you can always decide to add breakfast upon arrival at reception.
Do you have room service?
Yes, we have room service for those moments when you prefer to dine or have a drink in the comfort and privacy of your room.

I've seen that you have a "Coffee Corner", what is it?
It is one of our favorite welcome details. It is a corner in our lobby where we offer coffee, infusions, soft drinks, and water completely free of charge for our guests.
It is available for a large part of the day and is the ideal place to take a break, relax after a day of sightseeing, wait for your companions, or simply enjoy a coffee while reading the newspaper.
Can you help me buy tickets for flamenco shows or monuments?
Of course! Our Reception and Concierge team is an expert on the city and will be happy to be your personal guide. We can advise you on the best flamenco tablaos (both in the center and in Triana) and manage the reservation for you.
As for monuments such as the Alcázar or the Cathedral, the main recommendation is always to buy the ticket online as far in advance as possible on the official websites (Alcázar website / Cathedral website), as they sell out. We can guide you on how to do it or inform you about guided tours that include priority access and save you the long lines.
Is it a non-smoking hotel?

The best advice we can give you is to buy the ticket online in advance on the official website of the Alcázar for a specific time. This will allow you to skip the ticket office line, which is usually the longest.

That is an excellent question. Seville offers everything from large shows to very intimate tablaos. For an authentic experience, we recommend searching in the Triana neighborhood (cradle of flamenco, 5 minutes from the hotel) or in certain venues in the center that take great care of artistic quality.

Where can I buy typical Seville souvenirs?
You are very close to the best areas for this. The streets surrounding the Cathedral (Avenida de la Constitución) and the famous pedestrian shopping streets (Sierpes and Tetuán) are full of craft and souvenir shops.
If you are looking for something more specific, such as authentic ceramics, we recommend crossing the bridge and going to the specialized shops in the Triana neighborhood.
Is it safe to walk around the hotel area at night?
Yes, absolutely. The hotel area (El Arenal) is one of the most central, touristy, and safe in Seville. There is always a great atmosphere, with restaurants, bars, and theaters nearby, so there are people walking around until late at night.
As in any large city, we always recommend taking the usual precautions (watching your bag, wallet, etc.), but you can walk around with complete peace of mind.
Can you call me a taxi? Is it better to order one through an app?
We will be happy to call an official Seville taxi for you. It is a service we manage constantly. The taxi will arrive at the hotel door in just a few minutes.
In Seville, both official taxis (which we can call or hail on the street) and applications like Uber or Cabify work very well. Any of the options is fast and reliable.

Does the hotel have an elevator?
Yes, of course. The hotel has several elevators available to our guests to comfortably access all room floors, as well as the breakfast room and the rooftop terrace.
Is there any step to enter the hotel or to access the reception?

Can you store medications for me that need refrigeration?
Yes, of course. We understand the importance of maintaining the cold chain. If you bring medications that need refrigeration, please hand them in at reception upon your arrival. We will keep them in our refrigerators safely and controlled, and you can have access to them 24 hours a day.
Although the rooms have a minibar, they do not guarantee the stable temperature that a medication may require.
Do you offer a wake-up service?
Yes, we offer a personalized and reliable wake-up service. If you have to catch an early flight or just don't want to oversleep, you just have to request it at reception. Tell us your room number and the time you want us to call you, and we will take care of it.
If I have to check out very early, can I have some breakfast?
Of course you can! We don't want you to leave on an empty stomach. If you have to leave before the opening time of our buffet (usually before 7:30 AM), please let reception know the night before.
We can prepare a takeaway "Picnic Box" breakfast, which generally includes a coffee or juice, a piece of fruit, and some pastries, so you can have something on the way to the airport or station.
Can I receive packages or mail at the hotel during my stay?
Yes, without any problem. You can send packages or correspondence to the hotel address clearly indicating your name and, if possible, your stay dates.
Our reception team will receive the packages at no additional cost, keep them safe, and hand them to you upon your arrival or bring them up to your room. It is a very useful service, for example, for online shopping.
Is there a doctor or emergency medical service associated with the hotel?
Yes, for your peace of mind, we collaborate with a private medical service available 24 hours a day that can travel to the hotel to treat you in your room in case of an emergency or if you are not feeling well. This service has a cost that must be paid by the guest (or managed with your travel insurance).
If you need assistance, please contact reception immediately and we will arrange the visit.
Can I request that my room not be entered for cleaning during my entire stay?
Yes, of course. We absolutely respect your privacy. If you prefer that the cleaning staff not access your room during your stay (or on a specific day), simply place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outside doorknob.
If you need replacement of clean towels, amenities, or to empty the bin, you can request it by calling reception and we will leave it at your door.
Do you have any promotions for long stays?
You can check our updated promotions page: https://www.hotelbecquer.com/promociones/

Yes, of course. Our reception and customer service staff are prepared to attend to our international guests. All our reception team speaks fluent English, and many of them also get by in other languages such as French or Italian. Communication will not be a problem.
Where is the closest emergency exit to my room?
Your safety is paramount. On the inside of your room door you will find a detailed floor plan. This plan clearly indicates the location of your room, the stairs, and the nearest emergency exits, as well as the location of the fire extinguishers. We recommend taking a minute to locate it upon your arrival.
What makes Hotel Bécquer so special?
We believe it is the combination of three unique factors:
- Unbeatable Location: Being right in the center, being able to walk to the Cathedral, Triana, and El Arenal, but on an accessible and comfortable street.
- The Rooftop Experience: Our terrace with a pool and views of the Giralda is an urban oasis that offers unforgettable moments, especially at sunset.
- The Human Touch: Above all, our team. We are a hotel with a long family tradition and our vocation is authentic Sevillian hospitality. We don't want you to be just another customer; we want you to feel cared for, attended to, and like you are in your own home in Seville. We take care of the details that make a difference.
Can I request a room on a high floor?
Yes, you can request a room on a high floor when making the reservation (in the special requests section). Rooms on upper floors are usually quieter and some offer better views.
We will do everything possible to assign it to you, although you must bear in mind that, like all special requests, it is subject to availability on the day of your arrival.
Do you have connecting rooms?
Yes, we have a limited number of connecting rooms (connected by an inner door). They are the ideal option for families or groups traveling together, as they allow you to be close while maintaining the independence of having two rooms and two bathrooms.
Since they are highly requested, we recommend contacting the hotel directly by phone or email to manage this type of reservation and be able to ensure its availability.
Is there any cost for receiving a package at the hotel?
No, the hotel does not charge any fee for receiving packages or mail in your name. It is a courtesy service that we offer to our guests. We will receive your packages and store them safely until you request them from us.
If I forget something in the room, how can I get it back?
If upon your departure you forget any personal item in the room, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email.
Our housekeeping team follows a strict protocol to record found items. If we locate your belonging, we will keep it in our lost and found department and coordinate with you the best way to get it to you (usually by arranging shipping by courier, cash on delivery).
Can you recommend a place to rent bicycles?
Yes, it's a fantastic idea! Seville is a very flat city and has an extensive network of bike lanes (over 180 km), making it ideal for exploring by bicycle.
At reception we can give you information about the closest bicycle rental companies to the hotel. There are several a few minutes' walk away that offer rental by the hour or full days.
Is there a smoking area in the hotel?
We remind you that, by regulation, smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel, including the rooms and their balconies.
However, guests who wish to smoke may do so in the designated outdoor areas for this purpose, such as certain areas of our rooftop terrace or at the main entrance of the hotel.
Does the hotel organize any kind of tour or activity?
Although we do not organize tours directly as a hotel, our concierge team is an expert on the city and acts as your best travel agent.
We can recommend and book the best experiences for you: from guided tours of the Cathedral and the Alcázar, walking tours through Santa Cruz and Triana, tapas routes, Sevillian cooking classes, boat rides on the river, or day trips to nearby places like Córdoba, Granada, or the White Villages.
Is there any discount for children on accommodation?
Our policy for children is very favorable. Generally:
- Babies (0-2 years old) sleeping in a cot stay free.
- The policy for older children sharing a room with two adults varies. Often, the first child can stay for free or with a significant discount if using existing beds. If an extra bed is required, this does usually have a supplement.
We recommend checking the specific conditions when making your reservation, indicating the age of the children, to get the exact rate.
How far away is the Triana neighborhood?
We are right next door! It is one of the great advantages of our location. You just have to leave the hotel, walk 3 minutes to the Isabel II Bridge (popularly known as the Triana Bridge) and cross it.
In less than a 5-minute walk from our door, you will be stepping onto Plaza del Altozano, the gateway to this emblematic and authentic neighborhood, the cradle of flamenco and ceramics.
What is the best advice you can give me to enjoy Seville?
To "get lost" in its streets. Beyond the great monuments (which are essential), the true magic of Seville is found in the details: getting lost in the narrow streets of the Santa Cruz Neighborhood, discovering a hidden square full of orange trees, entering a patio full of flowers, or feeling the atmosphere of a Triana bar at aperitif time.
Let yourself go, walk aimlessly, mingle with the locals and enjoy the moment. And of course, ask us anything! We are here to help you discover that authentic Seville.
Can you get us tickets for a good flamenco show?
Of course! It is one of our specialties and an experience not to be missed in Seville. We collaborate with some of the best and most authentic tablaos in the city, both in the center and in the nearby neighborhood of Triana.
We can advise you depending on the type of show you are looking for (more intimate, larger, with dinner, only with drinks...) and manage the reservation for you so that you only have to worry about enjoying the "duende" and passion of flamenco.
We only have one day, what is the best route to see the essentials from the hotel?
You are in the perfect place for an express day! Our location allows you to do everything on foot. This would be our ideal route:
- Morning (Monumental): Leave the hotel and in 5-10 minutes you will be on Avenida de la Constitución. Dedicate the morning to visiting the monumental World Heritage site: the imposing Cathedral and the climb up the Giralda, followed by the magical Real Alcázar (it is essential to get tickets in advance on their official websites!).
- Midday (Charm): Upon leaving the Alcázar, get lost in the narrow streets and patios of the Santa Cruz Neighborhood. It is the perfect time to have some tapas in its traditional bodegas.
- Afternoon (Tradition and Views): Head back towards the hotel and cross the Triana Bridge (5 minutes away). Stroll along Calle Betis next to the river, visit the Triana Market and feel the atmosphere of this neighborhood, the cradle of flamenco.
- Sunset (The Toast): End the day by going up to our rooftop terrace to have a cocktail watching the sun set behind the Giralda. It will be the perfect finishing touch.
I have 2 days to get to know Seville, what do you recommend us to visit?
Perfect! With two days you can see the city more calmly. To the plan of the first day (Cathedral, Alcázar, Triana), we recommend adding for the second day:
- Morning (Plaza de España): Dedicate the morning to visiting the majestic Plaza de España and strolling through the gardens of María Luisa Park.
- Afternoon (Avant-garde and History): In the afternoon, you can visit the avant-garde Metropol Parasol ("Las Setas") to go up to its viewpoint (check their website for tickets), and end the day exploring the tapas bars in the Alfalfa or El Arenal area, very close to the hotel.
I've seen that there are huge lines at the Alcázar and the Cathedral, can you help me with tickets?
Absolutely. It is the most common concern and has an easy solution: anticipation. The lines you see are for the ticket office.
We highly recommend buying tickets online on the official websites of the Alcázar and the Cathedral with several days or even weeks in advance, choosing a specific time. This will give you priority access.
If it is already too late for that, the alternative is to join a guided tour, which usually have reserved quotas. At reception we can inform you of the available options. Don't let a line ruin your visit.
Do you recommend doing a boat tour on the Guadalquivir?
Yes, it is a very relaxing and different way to see the city, especially on hot days. Panoramic tours last approximately an hour and allow you to admire the different bridges, the Torre del Oro, and the Expo'92 pavilions from another perspective.
The piers are very close to the hotel, next to the Torre del Oro. We can inform you at reception about the schedules and prices.
Are there "Free Walking" tours that leave nearby?
Yes, Seville has a great offer of "free tours". Several of the most popular companies have their meeting points in very central squares such as Plaza Nueva or Plaza del Triunfo (next to the Cathedral), both just a 5-10 minute walk from our door. It is an excellent way to get a first impression of the history and legends of the city.
I don't quite understand how "going for tapas" works. Can you explain?
It is the best part of our gastronomic culture! "Tapear" is more of an action than a meal. It is a social act that consists of going from bar to bar, having a drink in each one (beer, fino wine, manzanilla...) accompanied by a small portion of food, the "tapa".
You don't order everything in one place. The usual thing is to stand at the bar, order one or two tapas, and move to the next place to try its specialty. It's a fun and cheap way to have dinner trying many different things!
What typical Sevillian or Andalusian dish can we not miss?
Hard to choose just one! But if we had to make a must-try list, you cannot leave without trying:
- Espinacas con Garbanzos (Spinach with Chickpeas): A spoon dish with Arab heritage.
- Solomillo al Whisky (Pork Tenderloin in Whisky Sauce): A classic of tapas bars.
- Salmorejo: (In the summer season) The cold cream of tomato, bread, and oil.
- "Pescaíto" frito (Fried Fish): Especially boquerones (anchovies), acedías (small sole), or adobo (marinated dogfish).
- And of course, a good portion of Jamón Ibérico de Bellota (Acorn-fed Iberian Ham).
Which neighborhood do you recommend for dinner tonight?
You have several excellent options just a step away from the hotel. It depends on the atmosphere you are looking for:
- El Arenal (your area): Right in the surroundings of the hotel (see on map). It is an area of classic tapas and bullfighting atmosphere, with traditional bodegas.
- Santa Cruz Neighborhood: 10 minutes away (see walking route). Ideal for a more romantic dinner and a stroll through its illuminated streets.
- Triana: Crossing the bridge (see walking route). Perfect for a more authentic, popular, and vibrant experience, with many taverns and restaurants overlooking the river.
Where can we have a good breakfast with ham toast outside the hotel?
Although our buffet is magnificent, if one day you feel like experiencing a local bar, you are in the perfect place. In the surroundings of the hotel (on the parallel street, San Pablo) and in the Triana Market (crossing the bridge) you will find many traditional cafes and bars that serve the classic toast of rustic bread with extra virgin olive oil and an excellent Iberian ham. It is the quintessential Sevillian breakfast.
We are going in the middle of summer, what advice do you give us to beat the heat?
This is the key question for visiting Seville in summer. The advice is to "live like the Sevillians":
- Get up early: Visit the monuments (Alcázar, Cathedral) first thing in the morning, which is when it is coolest.
- Hydrate: Drink lots of water throughout the day.
- Seek the shade: Always walk in the shade (the street "awnings" will be your best allies!).
- The central hours: Take advantage of the central hours of the day (from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM), the hottest ones, to eat calmly, rest, take a siesta or, of course, enjoy a dip in our rooftop pool!
- Enjoy the night: Life in Seville in summer starts at sunset. The nights are wonderful for walking, having a late dinner, and enjoying the terraces.
What is the best way to get around Seville if we get tired of walking?
Although the center is easily walkable, you have many options:
- Bicycle or Scooter: Seville is very flat and has an excellent bicycle rental service (public and private) and electric scooters, with bike lanes throughout the city.
- Taxi / Rideshare: It is the most comfortable and fastest option for door-to-door journeys. Both official taxis and apps (Uber/Cabify) work very well.
- Bus (TUSSAM): Urban buses (TUSSAM website) are very efficient and connect the neighborhoods well. Near the hotel you have stops for important lines.
- Tram (Metrocentro): A tram line (see info) runs along Avenida de la Constitución, connecting Plaza Nueva with Plaza de España.
What is the best place to take a panoramic photo of the city?
You have three fantastic options, and one of them without leaving the hotel!
- The Giralda: The climb up the tower (see on map) offers the classic view of the Patio de los Naranjos, the Cathedral, and the historic center.
- Las Setas (Metropol Parasol): Offers a modern panoramic view (see on map) of 360 degrees of the entire city, ideal for sunset (visit their website).
- Our Rooftop Terrace: For an exclusive view, with the Giralda in the background and the rooftops of El Arenal, you don't have to go very far. The photo at sunset from our pool is, simply, spectacular.
Is it worth taking a day trip to another city? Which one?
If you have 3 or more days in Seville, totally. The most comfortable and recommended day trip is to Córdoba. The high-speed train (AVE) leaves from Santa Justa and drops you off in the center of Córdoba in just 45 minutes. You can check schedules on the RENFE website. It is a perfect visit to see its impressive Mosque-Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter.
Other popular options, although they require a bit more time, are Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera (wineries and horses), or the White Villages (Ronda). We can help you organize the excursion.
Where can we buy authentic Triana ceramics?
To ensure that it is authentic and not an industrial souvenir, the best thing is to cross the Triana Bridge (5 minutes from the hotel) and venture into the neighborhood.
We recommend visiting the shops and small workshops on Calle Alfarería or Calle Antillano Campos. There you will find the artisans working and you can buy unique hand-painted pieces, from tiles to tableware.
Is the siesta true? Do the shops close at midday?
It is a custom that is maintained, especially in traditional commerce and especially in the hottest months! The large chains on Sierpes/Tetuán streets and the shopping centers (like El Corte Inglés, very close by) do not close, they have continuous hours.
However, the small neighborhood shops (haberdasheries, workshops, etc.) do usually close from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Main monuments and museums usually have continuous hours, but it is always good to check.
Can you recommend a "secret corner" or a charming square that doesn't appear in all the guides?
Of course! We love sharing those secrets. We invite you to discover:
- Plaza de Doña Elvira: In the heart of the Santa Cruz Neighborhood, with its orange trees and its fountain.
- Patio de Banderas: Right at the exit of the Alcázar, for a spectacular photo of the Giralda.
- The quiet Callejón del Agua.
- Plaza del Cabildo: A hidden semi-circular square next to the Cathedral.
Is there any food market nearby that is worth visiting?
Without a doubt, the Triana Market. It is a must-see and is only a 5-minute walk away, just across the bridge. (Visit their website).
It is built on the remains of the old Castle of San Jorge (which can be visited). In addition to seeing the stalls of fresh products, it has become a gastronomic center, with small bars where you can have tapas of the freshest fish and seafood.
What can be done on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, near the hotel?
The riverbank is perfect for walking, running, or cycling. You can walk south to the Torre del Oro, relax in the gardens of the Paseo de Colón, or have a drink on Calle Betis (in Triana), which is full of bars with terraces overlooking the river.
Is the water from the fountain in Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes drinkable?
Although the water from Seville's tap network is drinkable and excellent, as a general rule it is not recommended to drink from ornamental fountains (like the one in that square) since the water can be in a closed circuit and not treated for consumption.
It is better to use the public drinking fountains (signposted) or refill your bottle at the hotel. Our team is here to make your exploration of Seville an unforgettable experience!
Do you offer a babysitter service?
Yes, we can help you arrange an external and trusted babysitting service. We collaborate with qualified professionals so you can enjoy a dinner or an event with peace of mind knowing that your children are well cared for.
This service requires advance booking (we recommend at least 24-48 hours) and has an additional cost that you will pay directly to the babysitter. Please contact reception for more details and to organize the service.
Is there any playground near the hotel?
Yes, Seville is a city with many green spaces. Very close to the hotel, a pleasant walk of about 10-15 minutes away, you have the Murillo Gardens, next to the Alcázar, which are beautiful and quiet. A little further away (about 20-25 minutes on foot or a short bus/tram ride) is the magnificent María Luisa Park, the great green lung of the city, with large areas to play, ponds, and swings.
Is the rooftop pool suitable for small children?
Our rooftop pool is a fantastic place to cool off with the family. It is a moderately sized pool, ideal for a dip. However, it is important to note that it is not a specific children's pool and does not have a lifeguard service.
The constant supervision of an adult is essential at all times when children are in the pool area. It is a space to enjoy with caution.
Are the hotel and the area accessible with a baby stroller?
Yes, the hotel is fully accessible with a baby stroller. We have elevators to access all floors and there are no steps at the main entrance.
As for the area, the center of Seville is mostly flat and many streets are pedestrianized, which makes it easy to move around with a stroller. However, bear in mind that in some areas of the historic center (like the Santa Cruz Neighborhood) the pavement can be cobblestoned and somewhat more uneven.
Do the rooms have a desk for working?
Yes, most of our rooms are equipped with a functional desk and a comfortable chair, thinking of the needs of our guests traveling for work. They also have good lighting and nearby plugs so you can connect your laptop and other devices.
Our free high-speed Wi-Fi connection will allow you to work efficiently.
Can I request an invoice in the name of my company?
Of course. If you need an official invoice in the name of your company, please provide us with the complete tax details (Company Name, CIF/VAT, Tax Address) at the time of check-in or when checking out.
Our reception team will prepare and give you the corresponding invoice without any problem.
Do you offer corporate rates or a loyalty program for frequent travelers?
Yes. For individual travelers, we invite you to join our Club Bécquer, our free loyalty program that offers discounts and exclusive advantages from the first booking.
If your company has frequent accommodation needs in Seville, we recommend contacting our commercial department. We can study the possibility of establishing a corporate agreement with special rates adapted to your volume of stays.
Do you have an express check-out service?
Yes, to speed up your departure, especially if you are in a hurry to catch a flight or train, we offer the possibility of an express check-out.
If you have provided us with a credit card as a guarantee and you have no extra consumption pending or you prefer that they be charged directly to that card, you can simply deposit your room key in the box provided at reception without having to stop at the desk. If you need an invoice, you can request that we send it to you by email.
Besides flamenco, what other kind of shows can I see in Seville?
Seville has a very rich and varied cultural life! Beyond the essential flamenco, the city offers:
- Theater: Classic and contemporary plays in emblematic theaters like the Lope de Vega Theater or more alternative venues.
- Opera and Zarzuela: Mainly at the Teatro de la Maestranza, which has a top-level program.
- Concerts: From classical music (at the Maestranza or Espacio Turina) to pop, rock and indie in venues like Sala Custom or Malandar, and large concerts at the Cartuja Center CITE or the Rocío Jurado Auditorium.
- Musicals: Big touring musicals are frequently programmed at the Cartuja Center CITE or the Conference and Exhibition Centre (Fibes).
- Special Events: Depending on the date, you may coincide with film, music, or dance festivals, or unique cultural events.
Ask us at reception and we will inform you of the programming during your stay.
How can I find out what shows are on during my visit?
The best way is to consult us directly at reception or concierge. We have updated information and can give you personalized recommendations.
In addition, you can consult online cultural agendas like OnSevilla or the culture section of the official tourism website Visit Sevilla. It is also a good idea to check the websites of the main theaters and auditoriums mentioned above.
Can you help me buy tickets for theater, concerts, or opera?
Yes, of course. Our concierge team will be happy to advise you on the available programming during your dates and, whenever possible, help you with the process of booking or buying tickets.
For many shows, the purchase is made online through the official websites of the theaters or ticketing platforms. We can guide you in the process or inform you on how to proceed to secure your seats.
Is there any special cultural event or festival during my stay?
Seville hosts numerous events throughout the year. Depending on the dates of your visit, it could coincide with:
- The Flamenco Biennial (even years, usually September/October).
- The Seville European Film Festival (usually in November).
- The Early Music Festival (FeMÀS) (in spring).
- Concerts and special events during Christmas, Holy Week, or the April Fair.
- Summer concert series in spaces like the Alcázar gardens.
Ask us at reception with your travel dates and we will gladly inform you of the most outstanding events that coincide.
What advantages does the Hotel Bécquer restaurant offer compared to other downtown restaurants in Seville?
Below are the advantages offered by the gastronomic experience of the restaurant linked to the Hotel Bécquer compared to other centrally located hotel restaurants in Seville:
- 🍽️ 1. Cuisine with Sevillian identity and local produce
- The hotel's restaurant —generally known as Restaurante Mayo within the Hotel Bécquer itself— focuses on traditional Seville and Andalusian cuisine with modern touches, taking advantage of quality regional products such as rice dishes, Los Palacios tomatoes, cod, or homemade foie. This "product-oriented" and traditional yet revised approach distinguishes it from other hotel restaurants that sometimes offer more generic menus or those less linked to the local environment.
👉 Comparison: many downtown hotel restaurants (especially in luxury hotels) have more international or gourmet menus, which may be more geared towards the global tourist profile and do not always highlight local ingredients or techniques like at Bécquer. - 🥐 2. Sevillian breakfast with a cultural focus
- The hotel offers a breakfast called "El Despertar Andaluz" (The Andalusian Awakening), with a selection of local products served in Las Golondrinas, a space inspired by Sevillian poetry and tradition. This creates a gastronomic experience right from the first hour of the day, more rooted in local culture than the typical standard hotel buffet breakfast downtown.
👉 Comparison: many hotels only offer a standard buffet breakfast without that focus on tradition and local products. - 🍷 3. Integrated traditional Sevillian atmosphere
- In addition to the main restaurant, Hotel Bécquer features spaces such as El Poeta – Abacería and the Coffee Corner, which evoke traditional Andalusian taverns and little bodegas with local produce and a more intimate and cultural setting.
👉 Comparison: many hotels have more "corporate" or chain-style restaurants with less local personality, whereas here the aim is a more authentic gastronomic experience connected to the city. - 📍 4. Location to savor Seville before and after eating
- Being right in the historic center, dining or having lunch at the Hotel Bécquer restaurant places you steps away from iconic landmarks such as the Cathedral, Santa Cruz, or the Triana Bridge, allowing you to easily combine gastronomy with cultural experiences and city walks.
👉 Comparison: some downtown hotels may require commuting or might not be as integrated with traditional gastronomic or tapas routes in the center. - 🧠 5. Personalized service and cozy atmosphere
- The gastronomic offering at Hotel Bécquer is integrated into an environment where the goal is to "experience Seville", with a traditional hospitality that can be felt both in the restaurant and throughout the entire stay.
👉 Comparison: in larger hotels or chains, the dining experience can feel more functional or standardized compared to the intimate and close atmosphere fostered here.
🥇 In short? Advantages of the restaurant/dining at Hotel Bécquer compared to other downtown hotels:
- ✅ Local, produce-driven cuisine with updated classic Sevillian dishes.
- ✅ Breakfast with a local soul inspired by Andalusian gastronomy.
- ✅ Varied gastronomic environments (restaurant, abacería, coffee corner) that reflect the local culture.
- ✅ Natural integration with cultural routes through the historic center.
- ✅ Service with a personalized focus and Sevillian culture.
