Any doubts or questions?

What time is check-in and check-out?

To ensure you can settle in comfortably, the official check-in time is from 2:00 PM. The check-out time is at 12:00 PM (noon).

If you plan to arrive before 2:00 PM, don't worry: you can register and we will store your luggage in our free cloakroom so you can start enjoying Seville from the very first minute.

Do you offer late check-out service?

Yes! We understand that sometimes you need a little more time to enjoy your room or the city. We offer a late check-out service subject to availability.

For some of our higher-category rooms, such as the Junior Suite, this service is included as a courtesy until 2:00 PM. For other rooms, you can request it at reception, and we will inform you of availability and the corresponding supplement. We recommend checking on the morning of your departure for better management.

Can I cancel my reservation for free?

Flexibility is very important. We have different types of rates to suit your needs. Many of our rates, especially if you book directly with us, are flexible rates that allow for free cancellation up to a certain period (for example, 24 or 48 hours before your arrival).

However, we also offer non-refundable rates with higher discounts. Please carefully review the specific cancellation conditions detailed in your booking confirmation email. If you have any questions, our reservations team will be happy to help.

Additionally, by booking directly with us, you will have access to exclusive promotions and special packages that you won't find on other platforms. We invite you to join our Club Bécquer: it's free and, just by being a member, you will get an immediate additional discount on your reservation. It's all advantages!

What do I need to check in?

The process is very simple. To register your entry, we will need a valid identity document (ID card or Passport) for all guests over 16 years of age, as required by regulations.

Additionally, we will request a credit card as a guarantee for the stay and any extra consumption you may have (such as parking). If your reservation is prepaid, we recommend bringing the same card used for payment in case verification is necessary.

What are the reception hours?

Our reception is available 24/7 to attend to the needs of our guests.

Can I store my luggage if I arrive before check-in or leave after check-out?

Of course! We want you to make the most of your stay without having to carry your suitcases. We have a completely free luggage storage service (cloakroom) at your disposal at reception.

Whether you arrive before 2:00 PM or your flight or train departs late on your day of departure, you can leave your luggage safely with us and explore the city in total comfort from the first to the last minute.

Where exactly is the hotel located?

We are located in a privileged location, at Calle Reyes Católicos, 4, in the heart of Seville. It is the perfect link between the historic center and the authentic Triana neighborhood.

You will be a short and pleasant walk from everything: just 5-10 minutes on foot from the Cathedral and the Giralda, the Santa Cruz neighborhood, and less than 5 minutes from the Maestranza Bullring and the Guadalquivir River. Crossing the iconic Triana Bridge, which is right next to us, you will immerse yourself in the city's most emblematic neighborhood.

You can see our exact location and plan your routes here on Google Maps.

Does the hotel have parking? How much does it cost?

Yes, for your maximum convenience, we have private parking in the same building as the hotel. Arriving in the center of Seville and not having to worry about your car is a true luxury.

Since we are in the heart of the center, spaces are limited, so we strongly recommend booking in advance along with your room to guarantee your space. You can do this by calling us or sending an email. The cost is a flat rate per night of approximately €30; please consult with our reception team for the exact price for your stay dates.

How does the parking service work?

Our parking works with a convenient valet parking service. Upon arrival, simply stop at the hotel entrance and our reception staff will guide you. One of our colleagues will take care of parking your vehicle for you.

To manage the parking and move cars efficiently and safely, it is necessary for you to leave your keys at reception. It is a completely secure service, highly valued by our clients, which optimizes spaces and saves you the hassle of maneuvering in a central garage.

How can I get there from Seville Airport (SVQ)?

You have two main and very comfortable options:

  • Taxi: It is the fastest option (about 20-25 minutes). There is an official flat rate from the airport to the center of Seville (which includes our hotel). The price is around €25-30, varying slightly for night or holiday hours.
  • Bus (Line EA - Airport Special): This is the most economical option. The bus leaves frequently from the arrivals terminal. You should get off at the "Marqués de Paradas" stop (next to the Torre del Oro). From there, the hotel is a pleasant walk of less than 10 minutes. You can check schedules on the TUSSAM website (Seville buses).

You can see the public transport route at this Google Maps link.

And from Santa Justa train station?

Getting here from Santa Justa is very simple:

  • Taxi: It is the fastest and most direct way. You will find an official stand at the station exit. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes and the approximate cost is €8-12.
  • City Bus: You can take line 21 from the train station ("José Laguillo (Santa Justa Station)" stop) to "Marqués de Paradas". Circular lines C3 or C4 will also leave you nearby. You can plan your route on the TUSSAM website (Seville buses).

View route options on Google Maps by clicking here.

Yes, of course. We offer high-speed Wi-Fi connection completely free of charge for all our guests. The connection is available in the rooms as well as in all common areas of the hotel (lobby, terrace, pool...), so you can telework, watch series, or share your photos of Seville without problems.

What type of beds do you have? Can I request a double bed?

To adapt to the needs of each traveler, we have rooms with double beds (Queen or King size) and rooms with two single beds.

You can indicate your preference when making your reservation (in the comments or requests section). Although we cannot guarantee it 100%, as it depends on availability on the day of your arrival, we will note your request and do everything possible to assign you the type of bed you desire.

Are the rooms soundproofed?

Your rest is our priority. Our rooms are designed to guarantee comfort and feature double-glazed windows and a good level of acoustic insulation to minimize noise from such a central and vibrant location.

If you are particularly sensitive to noise or prefer maximum tranquility, we recommend requesting an interior room (overlooking our courtyard) when making your reservation. We will do our best to assign it to you.

Is there a coffee and tea maker in the rooms?

Yes, so you can enjoy a coffee or tea first thing in the morning, most of our higher category rooms (such as Premium, Deluxe, and Junior Suite) have a capsule coffee machine and a kettle with a selection of herbal teas. This service also includes welcome mineral water.

Do the rooms have a safe?

Yes, certainly. For your total peace of mind, all our rooms are equipped with a free digital safe. You can store your passport, laptop, and other valuables securely.

Do you have a pillow menu?

Yes. We know that a good rest depends largely on a good pillow. Therefore, in addition to the standard pillows in your room, we have a complete pillow menu with different levels of firmness and materials (memory foam, cervical, softer fiber...).

You can request it from our reception team at any time.

Are there rooms adapted for people with reduced mobility?

Yes, we are committed to accessibility. We have rooms specifically designed and adapted to guarantee the comfort and autonomy of people with reduced mobility. These rooms feature wider spaces and bathrooms equipped with walk-in showers and grab bars.

We recommend contacting the hotel directly by phone or email to manage your reservation and ensure this room is available for your dates.

We also have some connecting rooms, perfect for larger families who want to be together while maintaining some independence. We recommend contacting us directly to book the best option for your family.

Do you have a swimming pool? What are the opening hours?

Yes, and it is one of the jewels of the hotel! 💎 We have a spectacular pool on our rooftop terrace, the perfect place to cool off on hot days while enjoying unbeatable panoramic views of the Giralda and the rooftops of Seville.

The pool is operational from March until the end of September, always depending on the weather. The specific opening hours and rules of use can be checked directly at reception upon your arrival.

Is the rooftop terrace open all year round?

Yes, our magnificent Skyline Terrace, with its incomparable views of the Giralda, is accessible to our guests all year round (as long as weather permits).

Although the pool and bar service are only operational in the summer season, the solarium and seating area are available for you to go up and relax, read a book, or simply admire the famous sunset over the rooftops of Seville at any time of year. It is a magical experience!

What is breakfast like? What are the hours?

Our breakfast is the best way to start the day! We offer a complete and varied buffet breakfast, where quality and local products prevail.

You will find a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, various breads, a hot food station (scrambled eggs, bacon, etc.), Iberian cured meats and cheeses, seasonal fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, and, of course, typical Andalusian products. We also have options for special diets (gluten-free, etc.) upon request.

The usual breakfast hours are from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, so you can enjoy it at your leisure.

Is breakfast included in the price?

To offer you maximum flexibility, we have both options. When making your reservation, you can choose between the "Accommodation Only" rate or the "Bed and Breakfast" rate.

We recommend booking the rate with breakfast included, as it is usually more advantageous than paying for it directly at the hotel. If you have booked "Accommodation Only", you can always decide to add breakfast upon arrival at reception.

Do you have room service?

Yes, we offer Room Service for those moments when you prefer to dine or have a drink in the comfort and privacy of your room.

You will find a menu in your room with a selection of available dishes (sandwiches, salads, mixed platters, drinks...) and the hours during which the service is operational. You just have to pick up the phone and place your order.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we are a pet-friendly hotel! 🐾 We know your pet is part of your family and we love welcoming them. We accept pets (generally small or medium-sized dogs and cats) upon request.

Is there a gym in the hotel?

Currently, we do not have a gym facility inside the hotel premises. However, our privileged location by the Guadalquivir River (a 5-minute walk) offers you the best outdoor gym in the city. Its banks are perfect for running, walking, or using public calisthenics areas. Therefore, we provide a "gym kit," a bag with items for doing sports in the room. Request it at reception.

I saw you have a "Coffee Corner", what does it consist of?

It is one of our favorite welcome details. It is a corner in our lobby where we offer coffee, herbal teas, soft drinks, and water completely free of charge for our guests.

It is available during most of the day and is the ideal place to take a break, relax after a day of sightseeing, wait for your companions, or simply enjoy a coffee while reading the news.

Can you help me buy tickets for flamenco shows or monuments?

Of course! Our Reception and Concierge team are experts on the city and will be happy to be your personal guide. We can advise you on the best flamenco tablaos (both in the center and in Triana) and manage the reservation for you.

As for monuments like the Alcázar or the Cathedral, the main recommendation is always to buy tickets online as far in advance as possible on the official websites (Alcázar web / Cathedral web), as they sell out. We can guide you on how to do it or inform you about guided tours that include priority access and save you long lines.

Is it a non-smoking hotel?

Yes. In compliance with current regulations and, above all, to guarantee a healthy environment and the comfort of all our guests, smoking is prohibited in the rooms and in all interior common areas of the hotel.

Nevertheless, if you are an especially light sleeper or prefer maximum tranquility, we recommend requesting a room overlooking our interior patio when making your reservation. We will do everything possible to assign it to you.

What sustainability measures do you apply?

We are firmly committed to the environment and sustainable tourism. Our hotel applies numerous measures for energy efficiency, water consumption reduction, and waste management.

The best advice we can give you is to buy your ticket online in advance on the official Alcázar website for a specific time. This will allow you to skip the ticket office line, which is usually the longest.

Where can I see a good flamenco show that isn't a "tourist trap"?

That is an excellent question. Seville offers everything from large shows to very intimate tablaos. Where can I buy typical Seville souvenirs?

You are very close to the best areas for it. The streets surrounding the Cathedral (Avenida de la Constitución) and the famous pedestrian shopping streets (Sierpes and Tetuán) are full of craft and souvenir shops.

If you are looking for something more specific, such as authentic ceramics, we recommend crossing the bridge and going to the specialized shops in the Triana neighborhood.

Is it safe to walk around the hotel area at night?

Yes, absolutely. The hotel area (El Arenal) is one of the most central, tourist-friendly, and safe areas of Seville. There is always a great atmosphere, with restaurants, bars, and theaters nearby, so there is foot traffic until late at night.

As in any large city, we always recommend taking usual precautions (watching your bag, wallet, etc.), but you can walk around with total peace of mind.

Can you call a taxi for me? Is it better to order one through an app?

We will be happy to call an official Seville taxi for you. It is a service we handle constantly. The taxi will arrive at the hotel door in just a few minutes.

In Seville, both official taxis (which we can call or you can hail in the street) and apps like Uber or Cabify work very well. Any of these options is fast and reliable.

Yes, of course. We understand the importance of maintaining the cold chain. If you bring medications that need refrigeration, please hand them over at reception upon arrival. We will store them in our refrigerators safely and under control, and you will have access to them 24 hours a day.

Although the rooms have a minibar, they do not guarantee the stable temperature that a medication may require.

Do you offer a wake-up call service?

Yes, we offer a personalized and reliable wake-up call service. If you have to catch an early flight or simply don't want to oversleep, just request it at reception. Give us your room number and the time you wish to be called, and we will take care of it.

If I have to check out very early, can I have some breakfast?

Of course! We don't want you to leave on an empty stomach. If you have to leave before our buffet opening hours (normally before 7:30 AM), please notify reception the night before.

We can prepare a "Picnic Box" breakfast to go, which generally includes a coffee or juice, a piece of fruit, and some pastries, so you can have something on the way to the airport or station.

Can I receive packages or mail at the hotel during my stay?

Yes, without any problem. You can send packages or correspondence to the hotel address, clearly indicating your name and, if possible, your stay dates.

Our reception team will receive the packages at no additional cost, safeguard them securely, and we will deliver them upon your arrival or bring them up to your room. This is a very useful service, for example, for online shopping.

Is there a doctor or emergency medical service associated with the hotel?

Yes, for your peace of mind, we collaborate with a private medical service available 24 hours that can travel to the hotel to attend to you in your room in case of emergency or if you feel unwell. This service has a cost that the client must pay (or manage with their travel insurance).

If you need assistance, please contact reception immediately and we will arrange the visit.

Can I request that my room not be entered for cleaning during the entire stay?

Yes, certainly. We absolutely respect your privacy. If you prefer that cleaning staff do not access your room during your stay (or on a specific day), simply place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outer door handle.

Does the hotel staff speak English or other languages?

Yes, of course. Our reception and customer service staff are prepared to assist our international guests. All our reception team speaks fluent English, and many of them also speak other languages such as French or Italian. Communication will not be a problem.

Where is the nearest emergency exit to my room?

Your safety is paramount. On the inside of your room door, you will find a detailed floor plan. This plan clearly indicates the location of your room, stairs, and nearest emergency exits, as well as the location of fire extinguishers. We recommend taking a minute to locate it upon arrival.

What makes Hotel Bécquer so special?

  • Personalized Treatment: Above all, our team. We are a hotel with a long family tradition, and our vocation is authentic Sevillian hospitality. No, the hotel does not charge any fee for receiving packages or correspondence in your name. It is a courtesy service we offer to our guests. We will receive your packages and store them safely until you request them from us.

If I forget something in the room, how can I recover it?

If you forget a personal object in the room upon departure, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email.

Our housekeeping team follows a strict protocol to record items found. If we locate your belonging, we will keep it in our lost and found department and coordinate with you the best way to get it to you (generally, arranging a courier shipment with shipping costs due).

Can you recommend a place to rent bicycles?

Yes, that's a fantastic idea! Seville is a very flat city and has an extensive network of bike lanes (more than 180 km), so it is ideal for exploring by bicycle.

At reception, we can inform you about the nearest bicycle rental companies to the hotel. There are several within a few minutes' walk that offer rental by the hour or full days. Additionally, we have a free bicycle service (subject to availability and prior reservation).

Is there a smoking area in the hotel?

We remind you that, by regulation, smoking is prohibited in all interior areas of the hotel, including rooms and their balconies.

However, guests who wish to smoke can do so in designated outdoor areas, such as certain areas of our rooftop terrace or at the hotel's main entrance.

Does the hotel organize any type of tour or activity?

Although we do not organize tours directly as a hotel, our concierge team are experts on the city and act as your best travel agent.

We can recommend and book the best experiences for you: from guided visits to the Cathedral and Alcázar, walking tours of Santa Cruz and Triana, tapas routes, Sevillian cooking classes, boat trips on the river, or day trips to nearby places like Córdoba, Granada, or the White Villages.

Is there any discount for children on accommodation?

Our policy for children is very favorable. Generally:

  • Babies (0-2 years) sleeping in a crib stay for free.
  • Policy for older children sharing a room with two adults varies. Often, the first child can stay for free or with a significant discount if using existing beds. If an extra bed is required, this usually has a supplement.

We recommend checking specific conditions when making your reservation, indicating the children's ages, to get the exact rate.

How far away is the Triana neighborhood?

We are right next door! It is one of the great advantages of our location. You just have to leave the hotel, walk 3 minutes to the Isabel II Bridge (popularly known as Triana Bridge) and cross it.

In less than 5 minutes on foot from our door, you will be standing in Plaza del Altozano, the gateway to this emblematic and authentic neighborhood, birthplace of flamenco and ceramics.

What is the best advice you can give me to enjoy Seville?

Get "lost" in its streets. Beyond the great monuments (which are essential), the true magic of Seville is found in the details: getting lost in the narrow streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, discovering a hidden square full of orange trees, entering a courtyard full of flowers, or feeling the atmosphere of a Triana bar at aperitif time.

Let yourself go, walk without a fixed direction, mingle with the locals, and enjoy the moment. And of course, ask us anything! We are here to help you discover that authentic Seville.

Can you get us tickets for a good flamenco show?

Of course! It is one of our specialties and an experience you should not miss in Seville. We collaborate with some of the best and most authentic tablaos in the city, both in the center and in the nearby Triana neighborhood.

We can advise you based on the type of show you are looking for (more intimate, larger, with dinner, only with drinks...) and manage the reservation for you so you only have to worry about enjoying the "duende" and passion of flamenco.

We only have one day, what is the best route to see the essentials from the hotel?

You are in the perfect place for an express day! Our location allows you to do everything on foot. This would be our ideal route:

  1. Morning (Monumental): Leave the hotel and in 5-10 minutes you will be at Avenida de la Constitución. Spend the morning visiting the World Heritage monumental complex: the imposing Cathedral and climb the Giralda, followed by the magical Royal Alcázar (it is essential to get tickets in advance on their official websites!).
  2. Lunchtime (Charm): Upon leaving the Alcázar, get lost in the narrow streets and patios of the Santa Cruz Neighborhood. It is the perfect time to have some tapas in its traditional wine cellars.
  3. Afternoon (Tradition and Views): Walk back towards the hotel and cross the Triana Bridge (5 minutes). Walk along Calle Betis by the river, visit the Triana Market, and feel the atmosphere of this neighborhood, birthplace of flamenco.
  4. Sunset (The Toast): Finish the day by going up to our rooftop terrace to have a cocktail while watching the sun set behind the Giralda. It will be the perfect grand finale.
I have 2 days to get to know Seville, what do you recommend we visit?

Perfect! With two days you can see the city with more calm. To the first day's plan (Cathedral, Alcázar, Triana), we recommend adding for the second day:

  • Morning (Plaza de España): Spend the morning visiting the majestic Plaza de España and strolling through the gardens of María Luisa Park.
  • Afternoon (Vanguard and History): In the afternoon, you can visit the avant-garde Metropol Parasol ("The Mushrooms") to climb its viewpoint (check its website for tickets), and finish the day exploring the tapas bars in the Alfalfa or El Arenal area, very close to the hotel.
I've seen huge lines at the Alcázar and the Cathedral, can you help me with tickets?

Absolutely. It is the most common concern and has an easy solution: anticipation. The lines you see are for the ticket office.

We strongly recommend buying tickets online on the official websites of the Alcázar and the Cathedral several days or even weeks in advance, choosing a specific time. This will give you priority access.

If it's already late for that, the alternative is to join a guided tour, which usually have reserved spots. At reception, we can inform you of the available options. Don't let a line ruin your visit.

Do you recommend taking a boat tour on the Guadalquivir?

Yes, it is a very relaxing and different way to see the city, especially on hot days. The panoramic tours last approximately one hour and allow you to admire the different bridges, the Torre del Oro, and the Expo'92 pavilions from another perspective.

The piers are very close to the hotel, next to the Torre del Oro. We can inform you at reception about schedules and prices.

Are there "Free Walking" tours that start nearby?

Yes, Seville has a great range of "free tours". Several of the most popular companies have their meeting points in very central squares like Plaza Nueva or Plaza del Triunfo (next to the Cathedral), both only 5-10 minutes walking from our door. It is an excellent way to get a first impression of the city's history and legends.

I don't really understand how "going for tapas" works. Can you explain?

It's the best part of our gastronomic culture! "Tapear" is more an action than a meal. It is a social act consisting of going from bar to bar, having a drink at each one (beer, sherry, manzanilla...) accompanied by a small portion of food, the "tapa".

You don't order everything in one place. The usual thing is to stand at the bar, order one or two tapas, and move to the next place to try its specialty. It's a fun and economical way to dine while trying many different things!

What typical Sevillian or Andalusian dish should we not miss?

It's hard to choose just one! But if we had to make an essential list, you can't leave without trying:

  • Spinach with Chickpeas: A stew with Arab heritage.
  • Solomillo al Whisky: A classic of tapas bars (pork loin in whisky sauce).
  • Salmorejo: (In summer season) A cold cream of tomato, bread, and oil.
  • Fried Fish ("Pescaíto frito"): Especially anchovies, soles, or marinated fish.
  • And of course, a good portion of Acorn-fed Iberian Ham.
Which neighborhood do you recommend for dinner tonight?

You have several excellent options just a step away from the hotel. It depends on the atmosphere you are looking for:

  • El Arenal (your area): Right in the surroundings of the hotel (see on map). It is an area of classic tapas and bullfighting atmosphere, with lifelong wine cellars.
  • Santa Cruz Neighborhood: 10 minutes away (see walking route). Ideal for a more romantic dinner and a stroll through its illuminated narrow streets.
  • Triana: Across the bridge (see walking route). Perfect for a more authentic, popular, and vibrant experience, with many taverns and restaurants with river views.
Where can we have a good breakfast with ham toast outside the hotel?

Although our buffet is magnificent, if one day you feel like the experience of a local bar, you are in the perfect place. In the surroundings of the hotel (on the parallel street, San Pablo) and in the Triana Market (across the bridge) you will find many traditional cafeterias and bars serving the classic village bread toast with extra virgin olive oil and excellent Iberian ham. It is the Sevillian breakfast par excellence.

We're coming in the middle of summer, what tips do you give us to beat the heat?

It's the key question for visiting Seville in summer. The advice is to "live like the Sevillians":

  1. Get up early: Visit the monuments (Alcázar, Cathedral) first thing in the morning, which is when it is coolest.
  2. Hydrate: Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
  3. Seek shade: Always walk in the shade (the "awnings" of the streets will be your best allies!).
  4. The central hours: Take advantage of the central hours of the day (from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM), the hottest ones, to eat calmly, rest, take a nap, or, of course, enjoy a dip in our rooftop pool!
  5. Enjoy the night: Life in Seville in summer starts at sunset. The nights are wonderful for strolling, dining late, and enjoying the terraces.
What is the best way to move around Seville if we get tired of walking?

Although the center is easily explored on foot, you have many options:

  • Bicycle or Scooter: Seville is very flat and has an excellent bicycle rental service (public and private) and electric scooters, with lanes throughout the city.
  • Taxi / VTC: It is the most comfortable and fastest option for door-to-door journeys. Both official taxis and apps (Uber/Cabify) work very well.
  • Bus (TUSSAM): City buses (TUSSAM web) are very efficient and connect the neighborhoods well. Near the hotel, there are stops for major lines.
  • Tram (Metrocentro): A tram line (see info) runs along Avenida de la Constitución, connecting Plaza Nueva with Plaza de España.
Where is the best place to take a panoramic photo of the city?

You have three fantastic options, and one of them without leaving the hotel!

  1. The Giralda: The climb to the tower (see on map) offers the classic view of the Patio de los Naranjos, the Cathedral, and the historic center.
  2. Las Setas (Metropol Parasol): Offers a 360-degree modern panorama (see on map) of the entire city, ideal for sunset (visit their website).
  3. Our Rooftop Terrace: For an exclusive view, with the Giralda in the background and the rooftops of El Arenal, you don't have to go far. The photo at sunset from our pool is, quite simply, spectacular.
Is it worth taking a day trip to another city? Which one?

If you have 3 or more days in Seville, absolutely. The most comfortable and recommended day trip is to Córdoba. The high-speed train (AVE) leaves from Santa Justa and drops you in the center of Córdoba in just 45 minutes. You can check schedules on the RENFE website. It is a perfect visit to see its impressive Mosque-Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter.

Other popular options, although they require more time, are Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera (wineries and horses), or the White Villages (Ronda). We can help you organize the excursion.

Where can we buy authentic Triana ceramics?

To ensure it is authentic and not an industrial souvenir, the best thing is to cross the Triana Bridge (5 minutes from the hotel) and enter the neighborhood.

We recommend visiting the shops and small workshops on Calle Alfarería or Calle Antillano Campos. There you will find artisans at work and can buy unique hand-painted pieces, from tiles to tableware.

Is the siesta thing true? Do shops close at midday?

It is a custom that is maintained, especially in traditional commerce and especially in the hottest months! Large chains on Sierpes/Tetuán streets and shopping centers (such as El Corte Inglés, very close) do not close; they have continuous hours.

However, small neighborhood shops (haberdasheries, workshops, etc.) do usually close from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Main monuments and museums usually have continuous hours, but it's always good to check.

Can you recommend a "secret corner" or a charming square that isn't in all the guides?

Of course! We love sharing those secrets. We invite you to discover:

  • Plaza de Doña Elvira: In the heart of the Santa Cruz Neighborhood, with its orange trees and fountain.
  • The Patio de Banderas: Right at the exit of the Alcázar, for a spectacular photo of the Giralda.
  • The tranquil Callejón del Agua.
  • The Plaza del Cabildo: A hidden semicircular square next to the Cathedral.
Is there any food market nearby worth visiting?

Without any doubt, the Triana Market. It is a must-visit and is only 5 minutes away on foot, just across the bridge. (Visit their website).

It is built on the remains of the old San Jorge Castle (which can be visited). In addition to seeing the stalls of fresh products, it has become a gastronomic center, with small bars where you can have tapas of the freshest fish and seafood.

What can be done on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, near the hotel?

The river bank is perfect for walking, running, or cycling. You can walk south to the Torre del Oro, relax in the gardens of Paseo de Colón, or have a drink in Calle Betis (in Triana), which is full of bars with terraces overlooking the river.

Is the water from the fountain in Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes drinkable?

Although the water from Seville's tap network is drinkable and excellent, as a general rule it is not recommended to drink from ornamental fountains (like the one in that square) as the water may be in a closed circuit and not treated for consumption.

It is better to use signaled public drinking fountains or refill your bottle at the hotel. Our team is here to make your exploration of Seville an unforgettable experience!

Do you offer babysitting service?

Yes, we can help you manage a trusted external babysitting service. We collaborate with qualified professionals so you can enjoy a dinner or an event with peace of mind knowing your children are well cared for.

This service requires advance booking (we recommend at least 24-48 hours) and has an additional cost that you will pay directly to the caregiver. Please contact reception for more details and to organize the service.

Is there a playground near the hotel?

Yes, Seville is a city with many green spaces. Very close to the hotel, a pleasant walk of about 10-15 minutes, you have the Murillo Gardens, next to the Alcázar, which are beautiful and quiet. A bit further (about 20-25 minutes on foot or a short bus/tram ride) is the magnificent María Luisa Park, the city's great green lung, with wide areas to play, ponds, and swings.

Is the rooftop pool suitable for small children?

Our rooftop pool is a fantastic place to cool off as a family. It is a moderate-sized pool, ideal for a dip. However, it is important to keep in mind that it is not a specific children's pool and does not have a lifeguard service.

Constant adult supervision is essential at all times when children are in the pool area. It is a space to enjoy with caution.

Are the hotel and the area accessible with a baby stroller?

Yes, the hotel is fully accessible with a baby stroller. We have elevators to access all floors and there are no steps at the main entrance.

As for the area, the center of Seville is mostly flat and many streets are pedestrianized, which makes moving with a stroller easier. However, keep in mind that in some areas of the historic center (like the Santa Cruz neighborhood), the pavement may be cobbled and somewhat irregular.

Do the rooms have a desk for working?

Yes, most of our rooms are equipped with a functional desk and a comfortable chair, keeping in mind the needs of our guests traveling for work. They also feature good lighting and nearby plugs to connect your laptop and other devices.

Our free high-speed Wi-Fi connection will allow you to work efficiently.

Can I request an invoice in my company's name?

Of course. If you need an official invoice in your company's name, please provide us with full tax details (Company name, Tax ID/VAT, Tax address) at the time of check-in or check-out.

Our reception team will prepare and deliver the corresponding invoice without any problem.

Do you offer corporate rates or a loyalty program for frequent travelers?

Yes. For individual travelers, we invite you to join our Club Bécquer, our free loyalty program that offers exclusive discounts and advantages from the first reservation.

If your company has frequent accommodation needs in Seville, we recommend contacting our sales department. We can study the possibility of establishing a corporate agreement with special rates adapted to your volume of stays.

Do you have express check-out service?

No, we currently do not have drop boxes to leave your room key for express check-out. You must go to reception to manage your departure.

Besides flamenco, what other types of shows can I see in Seville?

Seville has a very rich and varied cultural life! Beyond the essential flamenco, the city offers:

  • Theater: Classic and contemporary plays in emblematic theaters like the Lope de Vega Theater or more alternative venues.
  • Opera and Zarzuela: Mainly at the Maestranza Theater, which has top-level programming.
  • Concerts: From classical music (at the Maestranza or Espacio Turina) to pop, rock, and indie in venues like Sala Custom or Malandar, and large concerts at the Cartuja Center CITE or the Rocío Jurado Auditorium.
  • Musicals: Major touring musicals are frequently programmed at the Cartuja Center CITE or the Congress Palace (Fibes).
  • Special Events: Depending on the date, it may coincide with film, music, or dance festivals, or unique cultural events.

Ask us at reception and we will inform you of the programming during your stay.

How can I know what shows are on during my visit?

The best way is to consult us directly at reception or concierge. We have updated information and can give you personalized recommendations.

Additionally, you can consult online cultural agendas like OnSevilla or the culture section of the official tourism website Visit Sevilla. It is also a good idea to check the websites of the main theaters and auditoriums mentioned above.

Can you help me buy tickets for theater, concerts, or opera?

Yes, of course. Our concierge team will be happy to advise you on the programming available during your dates and, whenever possible, help you with the booking or ticket purchase process.

For many shows, purchase is made online through the official websites of the theaters or ticketing platforms. We can guide you through the process or inform you on how to proceed to secure your seats.

Is there any special cultural event or festival during my stay?

Seville hosts numerous events throughout the year. Depending on your visit dates, you could coincide with:

  • The Flamenco Biennial (even years, generally September/October).
  • The Seville European Film Festival (generally in November).
  • The Early Music Festival (FeMÀS) (in spring).
  • Concerts and special events during Christmas, Holy Week (Semana Santa), or the April Fair (Feria de Abril).
  • Summer concert series in spaces like the Alcázar gardens.

Ask us at reception with your travel dates and we will be happy to inform you of the most outstanding events that coincide.

What advantages does Hotel Bécquer's restaurant offer compared to other central restaurants in Seville?

Below are the advantages offered by the dining experience at the restaurant linked to Hotel Bécquer compared to other central hotel restaurants in Seville:

🍽️ 1. Cuisine with Sevillian identity and focus on produce
The hotel restaurant—generally known as Restaurante Mayo within Hotel Bécquer—focuses on traditional Seville and Andalusian cuisine with modern touches, taking advantage of quality regional products such as rice, Los Palacios tomatoes, cod, or homemade foie gras. This "produce-oriented" and traditional yet revised approach distinguishes it from other hotel restaurants that sometimes offer more generic menus less linked to the local environment.
👉 Comparison: many central hotel restaurants (especially in luxury hotels) have more international or gourmet menus, which may be more oriented toward a global tourist profile and do not always highlight local ingredients or techniques like Bécquer.
🥐 2. Sevillian breakfast with a cultural focus
The hotel offers a breakfast called “The Andalusian Awakening,” with a selection of local products served in La Golondrinas, a space inspired by Sevillian poetry and tradition. This creates a gastronomic experience from the first hour of the day, more rooted in local culture than the typical standard hotel buffet.
👉 Comparison: many hotels only offer a standard buffet breakfast without that focus on tradition and local products.
🍷 3. Integrated traditional Sevillian atmosphere
In addition to the main restaurant, Hotel Bécquer features spaces like El Poeta – Abacería and the Coffee Corner, which evoke traditional Andalusian taverns and "bodeguitas" with local products and a more intimate, cultural environment.
👉 Comparison: many hotels have more “corporate” or chain restaurants with less local personality, whereas here we seek a more authentic gastronomic experience connected to the city.
📍 4. Location to savor Seville before and after eating
Being in the heart of the historic district, dining or eating at Hotel Bécquer's restaurant places you steps away from emblematic sites like the Cathedral, Santa Cruz, or the Triana Bridge, allowing you to easily combine gastronomy with cultural experiences and city walks.
👉 Comparison: some central hotels may require travel or may not be as integrated with traditional central gastronomic or tapas routes.
🧠 5. Personalized service and welcoming atmosphere
The gastronomic offer at Hotel Bécquer is integrated into an environment where we seek for you to “live Seville,” with traditional hospitality that can be felt in the restaurant as well as throughout the entire stay.
👉 Comparison: in larger hotels or chains, the dining experience can feel more functional or standardized compared to the intimate and close atmosphere promoted here.

🥇 In summary? Advantages of dining at Hotel Bécquer vs. other central hotels:

  • ✅ Local and produce-driven cuisine with updated classic Sevillian dishes.
  • ✅ Breakfast with a local soul inspired by Andalusian gastronomy.
  • ✅ Varied gastronomic environments (restaurant, abacería, coffee corner) reflecting local culture.
  • ✅ Natural integration with cultural routes through the historic center.
  • ✅ Service with a personalized focus and Sevillian culture.
